“Oldie but a goodie”

Clean and tidy but hotel a bit tired and rooms need a bit of refreshing. Staff were really great. First time I've been to a hotel and they have your internet password ready for you when you check in, so you don't have ask once you are in your room.

“Highly recommended - defintely go back”

Brilliant hotel. Walk out the train station and you see it across the road. You get a free travel pass on arrival and the room I had was a fair size and had just been refurbished to a high standard. BReakfast was included which was a buffet style affair - plenty to choose from and runs till 10 am. Had dinner at hotel one night - limited if like me you are a veggie and v expensive. Lots of italian/chinese near hotel. Room had tv and air con, mini bar and a safe. This hotel was fantastic given its location and the fact it had just been renovated. Staff were helpful and tourist office is opposite in train station. Couldnt really fault my admittedly short stay there.

“First Time Business Traveler in Lausanne”

Very impressed with the accomodations made by the hotel staff. However, try to avoid staying on the second floor, - there is a nightclub that plays its music loudly until 4:30 am. The first floor towards the back provides a view of the back of another building but at least you can guarantee it will be quiet since it is further from the nightclub. Fantastic location and access to public transportation.

“Good location with clean comfortable rooms”

We spent a week at the Hotel Continental. We had no problems. The hotel is in a convenient location, directly across from the main train station in Lausanne. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Our only 'negative' thoughts was that the room was a bit small considering what we paid. Since we only spent time in the room to sleep, not really a big deal. The noise level from the street could be a problem for some if you have the windows open at night.

“Convenient hotel”

Recently had an overnight stay at Continental Hotel in Lausanne. We found this very convenient as it is right across from the Railway Station. We were arriving late by train from Venice on the way to Paris and used this as quick stopover. Were not disappointed staff were very courteous and spoke english. Hotel was of the standard we expected and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

“I would come here again”

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It is conveniently located, the bed was comfortable, and the service was good. The only thing I think they could improve on is putting prices by the mini-bar in case you are thirsty or want something to snack on. The bathroom was amazing, btw!

“Perfect choice...”

Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I arrived at 8am, they took my luggage and a bouquet of flowers behind the desk, then up to our room later in the day. Clean, cool room (it was 30C outside) and the air conditioner was completely adequate. Great view of Lake Geneva over the train station. Included breakfast was OK but I recommend skipping it and taking the train to Gruyeres for CHEESE FONDUE!!! Very convenient location, directly across the street from the train station. It was a perfect choice for our two days in Lausanne!

“Great Hotel!”

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Continental and took day trips on the train to nearby towns/cities. The hotel is directly across from the train station, so it is very convenient for travel on the train, the metro, and the bus. There is a grocery store in the train station. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and quiet. The breakfast is excellent. The staff were the nicest we encountered in any hotel. We would definitely stay here again! The hotel includes free public transit passes for all guests (as do other hotels in Lausanne), and it is an outstanding public transit system. Internet is not free in the hotel; however, all parks along the lake have free public internet with breathtaking views. Most nights we bought food in the grocery store and had a picnic on the lake while catching up with friends via computer. We could have stayed in Lausanne forever.
