Check in was quick and easy and we were lucky enough to get one of the five free parking on site. They are tiny but its free and car is safe! Personal was nice and helpful. The room was okay size but bathroom needs some love and shower curtain needs to be replaced. We forgot to mention when we left but our had stain on it and very smelly. Some mold on the sillicone as well. Location was great with walkable distance around Montreux and we got free bus ticket to go to the Chateau Chillon. Thank you

We didn't get the room we asked for and they were not interested in fixing it. Pretty rude and standoffish front desk staff and our bathroom was pretty dirty. Not a great stay at all although Montreux is beautiful!

We assure you that the points raised do not in any way reflect our desire to provide beautiful memories and would like to offer you our sincere apologies for the inconveniences encountered.Nevertheless, we remark non-issues on your comment that requests clarification: You book a twin room (reservation without breakfast) and at arrival wanted to have a family room with a kitchen – we refuse that upgrade as family rooms were sold out and explained that you had to stay on the room type you book. We did not even talk about any rate change to get to a different room. Then you came to reception asking for breakfast for free as compensation for not having the room you wanted, for what we explained that you were having the room you book and should you want to have breakfast, it was to be paid. Next day in the evening you were surprised in the breakfast room helping yourself from the mugs we have available for the breakfast next morning (we prefer not to mention what we could “name” that situation!). At any moment you came to reception to complain about housekeeping during your 2 day stay except now on your cute comment for what we doubt about its veracity! Your satisfaction is our priority and we assure you that we are doing everything we can to maintain and develop the quality that you are entitled to expect at the Hotel Bon Port.Looking forward to welcoming you again in Montreux,Sincerely,

The location is excellent and overall the hotel was a good value for the area. The room was very hot and there is no temperature control, and the water pressure in the shower was poor however. These things seems like areas that could be easily improved by the hotel to make a big difference in the level of comfort in the guest rooms.

Very very uncomfortable in summer days
You can’t sleep because there is no A/C or room cooler. Room fan runs like a Zombie and portable fan doesn’t work. You have to fully open the windows to get some air.

They don’t inform that the reception closes at 10.30pm. Meaning you cannot park and you cannot have breakfast (only orders taken the night before). I was lucky enough to find a nice receptionist opening the garage door for me at least. And let’s not talk about the parking. You better go with a car smaller than a Fiat 550 or you won’t fit. Ridiculous. What shocked me most was to see a “look like dirty “ toilette. It’s a 3 stars hotel but still!! Therefore you get a bad review.

Staff was very helpful. I chose this hotel for my recent stay in Montreaux because it is more affordable than many of the other hotels. I was pleasantly surprised at the convenience of the location. It’s just down the street from the Casino & a block from the beautiful walkway around the lake. It’s an easy walk to the main square & shops. It was a reasonable walk from the train station. The hotel is nice & clean and you can purchase breakfast. There is Wi-Fi & the normal amenities. It feels very safe. I would recommend it if anyone is looking for an affordable hotel in the area.

We loved the Hotel....the staff were excellent....staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced. I liked we were so close to the Casino.....were the Freddie Mercury Experience was.....We were close to the Forum Mall....Close to the Beautiful Lake.....We could walk to the train station.....We took the GoldenPass train up to a few small towns....and went to the German Village Gstaad (still in Switzerland...Gstaad).....All around Loved the Hotel and the Staff.....

The hotel is a bit outdated and it was clean enough but it could've been a bit cleaner. Considering the value it's a good option, but you have to be ready to sacrifize some comfort. The mattress and pillow weren't great either. You might want to avoid your room on the first floor, since it's at street level, adding traffic noise to the room.

Although this hotel is not quite near Montreux station, I think it's very good for short term business trip. My room had not any table, which made me a bit inconvenient to work in the room. However, price is quite satisfiable. Breakfast is not included nor free. I had to make a reservation to have breakfast.

This hotel is a bare minimum facility with a few rooms and nothing else. The location is about 15 minutes walk from the train station and about 8 minutes to the lakeside promenade. It does not have AC and it is on a corner of fairly busy streets . The room had a ceiling fan which didn’t help much and after a while we noticed it was set on reverse blowing air to the ceiling . If we opened the windows we could not sleep from the noise and Street pedestrians could see the inside of our room if we opened the windows. In short, this may be a good budget hotel for a winter stay but not good for hot summer days.

Very dark and dingy room on ground floor right next to reception and road outside. It was 30 degrees and the room was far too hot. Ceiling fan did next to nothing and obviously no air con. Sleeping was really hard. Mould all in the shower and bathroom. However, breakfast was ok and staff very friendly. Location good and walkable to lake side in a few minutes. It took about 10-15 mins to walk there from the train station. Overall poor value for money considering the price but only hotel I could find that didn't cost the earth!

It was very hot with no fan or AC. Our ceiling fan did not work. We asked for a fan. The only one left was the one being used at the front desk that was missing the front cage, but the gave it to us for the night. Next morning after showering I discovered the hair dryer was also broken. The front desk gave us the key to a no show room so I could use that hair dryer. It would not cost that much to ensure working fans and hairdryers, but the front desk did give solutions so they win points back. All in all it suited our needs, was a close walk to waterfront area as well as train, but I would not stay again.

Be aware that parking at this hotel is not available to those who book through Expedia only if you book directly through the hotel. It must be pre booked and there are only 5 spaces. There is a small car park opposite where you can park for free from 19:00 to 07:00 but it is very popular so you may have to wait for an hours or so to get a spot. Parking during the day is 1.50 ph max 2 hr stay. Better option is the migros underground car park 10 minutes walk away at the marcheplatz. Hotel itself is basic but serviceable. Clean but old and tired. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
