“No house keeping, would not have stayed there if I knew.”

More times than not when I called the front desk there was no answer. They had a complimentary trolley which I used once and that was fine. Called to use it again, was told they would be right there, did not show so I had to drive.

“Traveler”

We were in building #4 which is a 6 minute walk to the Grand Geneva complex if you walk up the hill rather that following the driveway all the way around. The condo worked well for us - my husband, myself, and our son and daughter -in-law. for a short stay the fold out sofa in the living room was okay. You enter the condo directly into the bedroom which isn't ideal but really wasn't a problem. There is not maid service for a short stay but there are towel in the pool area and you can get fresh towels by asking the people who clean the rooms. There is a small kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, 2 burner stove and refregerator. Table ware for four people and plenty of utensils and cookware. The wall are thin but the price and convience made up for it. You check in at the main desk in the Grand Geneva and call there if you have any problems. I would stay here again.

Lake Geneva is only a few minutes away by car.

When to go

There is a public beach across the street from Scuttleubutts with changing house. there are rental jet skis, kayaks etc. in the area. We didn't get to use them so can't advise regarding cost or service.

Dining

We ate at Popeyes and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. It was a bit noisy. Scuttlebutts is right next door and was good too. both are overlooking the lake. Potbelly's sandwichs was much less expensive and the food was good. We were able to sit outside and people watch as we ate.

“Nice stay”

The travel club accomodations are great...be sure to register at the Grand Geneva desk. It's nice that the Grand Geneva amenities are available to the Holiday Inn Travel Club guests. Not happy about them not being able to extend check out time though.

“Great value”

Stayed at the Hilton hotel part of grand Geneva resort. I also have stayed at the grand Geneva in the past for work so i have seen those rooms as well. Overall the trip and stay was great. Everything was great, the price for room, it was a suite so plenty of room, great quiet view of golf course. We will come back again for sure. only cons i have: there is no direct walk path to the resort even though its right across the street. there is a 10ft retention wall in between, wish they could put some steps or something so walking was more feasible, we were lazy and drove the 1min drive. My only complaint with hotel was bed was very uncomfortable, the pillows were bad, mattress was to springy. but perhaps i'm just used to mine. the BIGGEST was the thin walls, yes i heard the couple next door having fun if you know what i mean, in the early morning too. but i could hear people talking. So I wish the walls were thicker. overall i would say 9/10. thicker walls and it would be 10/10. its great place to get away from weekend. The resort is pricey though, really nice food and drinks but its pricey and things in town are pricey too. I think we spent more here than we did in san francisco on dining out and drinks.

“Definitely going back!”

This was a great mini get away for my husband and I. Room was great - everything we could need - only thing I didn't like was no vending machine at the lodge, had to go to the main lobby to grab a soda but nothing major at all. Can't wait to go back this summer with the kids - already making plans!

“Great getaway”

Loved our king villa! Very spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. My husband and I stayed for two nights and the only disappointment was the maid never came to make the bed and restock our coffee after our first night. Otherwise it was great. Beautiful resort. Would definitely go back!

“Definately would like to bring the family back”

There was a bit of confusion that you actually check in at the Grand Geneva resort for this hotel because of the Holiday Inn affiliation, but after we figured that out we were very satisfied with our stay. The rooms were very nice! Perfect for a weekend trip.

“Very nice hotel. Great deal through Expedia”

This is a primo hotel. It's connected to a resort and you get to use all the options the resort offers per diem. The site is not near anything else so you can't walk to shops or any part of downtown Lake Geneva. I believe the idea was to be all inclusive and it's own little town. Be advised that booking with Expedia will prohibit the hotel from seeing your rate even at check out.
