“Nice hotel and great location.”

“Galena, IL relaxation”

This was our 4th or 5th time staying at the Ramada Inn in Galena, IL. The location is just outside of town right off the highway. We recommend requesting a rear room. There are beautiful ground to walk and it is generally very quiet. Each room is different which is nice since most motel rooms look pretty much alike.

“OK only.”

Clerks were extremely friendly. Nice continental breakfast included. The room was very clean but would have liked it much better had it been updated--very outdated furnishings.

“Great Location”

Had a wonderfull experience. This Hotel is located only a short walk to downtown and all the shops and restraunts. Ginos East is located at the Hotel and the food was great. Defintely want to go back in Summer.

“Would definitely stay there again”

We enjoyed our stay here, It was so close to everything. We walked everywhere. We enjoyed the pool. It was not crowded at all, We like that Ginos East was right in the hotel. The hotel staff was very accomodating and friendly, The hotel was very clean. We would definitely stay there agaIn.

Downtown Lake Geneva. It has many restaurants and shops. The lake front is beautiful.

“Out Dated”

Hotel needs updates. Location is excellent. Front desk staff must be young college or should have been college girls that never smiled and appeared cranky. The cleaning staff that I saw were all Hispanic women & very friendly & helpful. Gino's pizza was excellent & and prices were reasonable. Mat around indoor pool looked scummy but pool itself was okay. Outdoor pool was awesome along with the hot tub. Breakfast was moved to the basement, more room. Cereal, waffles and bagels. Milk, coffee or orange juice. Nothing fancy but fills the morning void until lunch. We ate at Popeye's for lunch. Chicken was excellent but that place needs a total cleaning....someone call the Merry Maids & painters....wow, everything was dingy and "sticky" including the woodwork. Very friendly staff there. We took the Lady of the Lake tour....very good and not too long (1 hour). Our boys are 3 & 2 and would not have tolerated the 2 1/2 hour ride for the Mail run but I heard that's pretty cool. We took the kids to Dan Patch Stables....very worth it and very fun. There is a cool toy shop downtown, friendly staff but pricey. Unique toys & gifts there.
