“An excellent hotel right by the lake”
This was our second stay at this hotel within 9 months. it was great to return and find many of the same friendly and attentive staff still working there. If anything we enjoyed this stay more than the first one. It is worth eating in the hotel as the restaurant is very good, we found the quality of the food in nearby Gardone to be mixed. As many reviewers have said it is a bit of a walk to Salo but once you leave the main road it is a quiet walk and not at all unpleasant. We would return to this hotel again, it is ideally placed to pick up the Garda ferries at Gardoe and reception will always help put with any other trips you may wish to take part in.
“A lovely hotel”
Great hotel, with the best parts being the great staff and the pool right by the lake. A car is needed however as there isn't much in Barbarano and Salo is a 20 minute walk. Also, be wary of travelling outside of the main season as when we stayed there in mid May, the air conditioning was not turned on and the pool wasn't heated as advertised (and it was freezing!). Would thoroughly recommend (in season)
“Definitely going back to this hotel!”
We loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect, right on the lake and we ate breakfast and dinner on the terrace looking onto the lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and cleaned properly each day. The bathrooms are large and modern, and there is plenty of wardrobe/storage space. Each room has a small but adequate balcony with great views onto the lake. From the hotel you can walk to Gardone Riviera or into Salo where there are plenty of restaurants

“Sehr schöne Ostern 2011”
Wir waren 3 Nächte über Ostern '11 im Spiaggia d'Oro. Das Hotel liegt sehr schön am See. Das ganze Hotel schien relativ neu renoviert worden zu sein, jedenfalls war innen alles sehr schön (Lobby, Frühstücksraum, Zimmer etc.). Der Aussenbereich (Pool, Garten, Terasse etc.) kommt nicht ganz an das Haus heran. Der Hotelparkplatz ist relativ klein. Man kann aber problemlos an der Strasse einen Parkplatz finden. In der direkten Umgebung gibt es praktisch keine Restaurants, weswegen wir zum Abendessen nach Salo gefahren sind (3,3km). Zum Laufen war es uns dann doch zu weit. Fazit: Empfehlenswertes sauberes Hotel am See in sehr gutem Zustand mit gutem Preisleistungsverhältnis.
“Traumhaftes Hotel - aber mit alptraumhaft harten Betten”
Ein wirklich wunderschönes Hotel mit direkter Lage am Gardasee, das man wirklich besten Gewissens weiterempfehlen kann. Mit einer Vorwahrnung: Die Betten sind leider so hart, vergleichbar mit einer dünnen Isomatte beim Zelten. Und leider stehen die Kissen der Härte der Matraze in nichts nach. Unser Tipp: Wenigstens das eigene Kopfkissen mitnehmen.

Super Hotel, tolle Lage, schöne Zimmer! Frühstück war sehr lecker und Service einwandfrei. Nur zu empfehlen!!!!!
“Vorsicht! Touristenfalle! Für uns nie wieder”
Anbei in Kurzform unsere mehr als enttäuschende Erfahrung mit diesem Gardasee Hotel: 1. keine Hilfe beim Gepäck 2. Das Essen im Restaurant war von sehr mittelmäßiger Qualität, Besteck, Teller und Gläser mit deutlichen Gebrauchsspuren bzw. festgetrockneten Essensresten. 3. Die Bitte das absolut überteuerte Mittagessen auf unser Zimmer zu schreiben, war aus "technischen" Gründen nicht möglich!?! 4. Bei unserem Besuch war das Parkett in jedem Zimmer mit einem chemischen Spezialmittel behandelt worden und die chemischen Ausdünstungen und der Gestank so stark, dass ein längerer Aufenthalt im Zimmer, trotz geöffneter Fenster unerträglich war. 5. Ein Gespräch mit dem total überforderten Hotelmanager begann damit, dass er uns arrogant und von obenherab sagte, dass unsere (durchaus berechtigten) Beschwerden nicht sein Problem seien. Als ich ihm sagte, dass ich da anderer Meinung bin und noch nie so kundenfeindlich behandelt wurde, sagte er lediglich: "irgendwann ist immer das erstemal" (auf english). Danach drehte er sich weg und reagierte nicht mehr auf uns. Fazit: Wir räumten unser Zimmer und verließen das Hotel um eine besonders negative Erfahrung reicher. Letztendlich fanden wir ein etwas teureres aber um Klassen besseres Hotel in Gardone und genossen doch noch unseren Kurztrip... Von diesem Etablissement kann ich nur sagen VORSICHT, Finger weg - es gibt viel schöneres in der Nähe!
