“Will definitely return”
Excellent hotel, Excellent service, Excellent location. Would not hesitate in returning.
“Clean, comfortable and modern”
The Villa Rosa is in a good lakeside location, just 5 minutes walk from the main town. The hotel is modern in design and styling, which means uncluttered and neutral colour schemes - what you would expect from a modern hotel. The room (junior suite with lake view) was a good size, comfortable bed, good bathroom. It was very clean. There was a good choice at breakfast which was entirely self-service. We ate dinner there one evening, and the food was good although it is expensive as are drinks etc but no more than many of the touristy restaurants etc. Only complaint would be with one member of the reception staff who was on duty for the majority of our stay, he was not at all helpful, for example when asked if we could get a bus to anywhere else on the lake (the ferries were suspended as out of season) he just said no, yet we found you could get a bus from the main town to Sirmione. Otherwise we had a great stay.
“Hotel Villa Rosa Desenzano - perfect Honeymoon hotel”
Hotel Villa Rosa Desenzano was brilliant. Fantastic staff. Beautiful setting and excellent location (5/10 minute walk from town square). Bedroom was brilliant, massive bed. Beautiful view of lake from our balcony. Hotel left bottle of champagne and welcome note in our room, wishing us a happy honeymoon which was a nice touch. We ate in the hotel on first night, food was excellent and service brilliant. Breakfast was fantastic. Hotel also left card advising of tomorrows weather each day in room. Basically no complaints, would recommend and stay there again.
“Very Impressed”
Great hotel - spotlessly clean, all staff very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Very efficient, friendly service. Rooms well good quality and very clean. Car parking not a problem if, the free one is full, there is an option to park in a secure carpark operated by key fob access only for piece of mind. Food very good, waiters able to recommend wine to suit your menu choices. Definitely would return to this hotel
“Wonderful!”
This is an excellent hotel in all respects. All who work there are friendly and helpful and our room was large, tastefully furnished and we had a change of linen every day! The breakfast was great and evening meals were good value and very well presented. At the snack bar, we asked for cake to accompany our morning coffee - this wasn't on the menu but the chef did a special one for us and we were not charged for it - they really did try to make you feel welcome. We would recommend the rooms with 'garden or pool' view rather than the more expensive 'lake view' which are sited over the main road.
“Top choice in Lesenzano del Garda!”
Superb service in an beatiful restored palazzo. Our standard rate bought us a large room with balcony overlooking the lake. Full buffet breakfast included, served indoors or in the garden (also with lake view). The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Has a very good restaurant and lovely veranda over the lake, open late for drinks. The hotel is quiet, but only a few blocks from the active area of town. Minor issues: pool is relatively small, crowded at peak hours.
“Lovely holiday”
We had a lovely week's holiday here and would recommend the hotel and resort highly. The hotel is clean, modern and well appointed. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, on the top floor, had a balcony and a view towards the mountains one way and Lake Garda the other. Although standard it was a good size, perfectly suited our requirements and was cleaned every day. The breakfast was a highlight and would satisfy most tastes - fresh juice, tea (with teapots)/coffee, cereals, fruit, fresh bread and croissants, cheeses/meats and scrambled egg/bacon/chipolatas - seated either outside or inside in a lovely, light room overlooking the Lake; a perfect start to the day (and available from 7.00 to 10.45am). The hotel is situated a few minutes easy walk to the centre of town with its ferry terminal, shops, gelati and restaurants. There is a very good restaurant just opposite the hotel and many more to choose from in town. May/June is a perfect time to visit and I can recommend using public transport to visit Verona (bus or train) and Parco Sigurta Giardino (train to Peschiera del Garda, bus to Valeggio). There are lots of towns on the shores of Lake Garda to explore using the boats from Desenzano and I would particularly recommend visiting Peschiera (also by bus), Sirmione (beware of the crowds), Bardolino, Salo and Gardone (for the Heller Gardens just above the town). The southern end of Lake Garda is lovely and you can do no better than stay here in this hotel. Perfect!
“Bella Vista del Lago”
The hotel was a great choice - very happy to secure a suite with a balcony - the view across the lake was terrific. The room was spacious and facilities were excellent - including the restaurant which served a good range of food and well stocked continental breakfast. The room staff were professional, friendly and were able to help with any requests including booking transfers and taxis. The one small issue was that the superking bed was slightly firmer than desirable and could be improved with a more comfortable mattress topper. Also, the hotel is served by a number of very nice restaurants closeby including IlGattoPardo (about 100m away) which serves excellent traditional Italian food. In conclusion, the hotel is well serviced, very clean and effectively run - would absolutely recommend this to stay for new Desenzano visitors and wife and I will definitely return again.
“Lake Garde was amazing. Perfect place to propose to my girlfriend.”
If your after a relaxing trip away with a plush hotel and amazing views then i can't recommend this hotel enough. The Hotel Villa Rosa Desenzano is a very nice hotel with staff that are more than happy to help you with anything you need for your stay with them. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic and our room was simple but more than i could have wanted for a short break to the Lake Garde. The town of Desenzano is very quiet in February with hardly any tourists and this made it great was watching the locals go about there daily routines and made it so enjoyable with just being able to walk into any of the many restaurants and bars in the main town square. The residents of the town were very welcoming and in the many shops would love to talk to us and try out their english on us. They were also very patient as we tried to talk to them in Italian!!! The whole experience was amazing and when I proposed to my girl friend on Valentines day on the shore of the lake it was the perfect end to the perfect trip.
“Impressed”
Very comfortable hotel directly opposite lake. Few mins walk to centre of Desenzano and ferries. Short taxi ride to station. Good buffet breakfast to start day. Lovely terrace/restaurant/bar overlooking lake, though as with all hotels here, busyish road runs between hotel and lake.
