This was our first holiday in Italy and Lake Garda and Hotel Nettuno exceeded our expectation. The location of Hotel Nettuno is great for easy access to the centre of Bardolino with a lovely lakeside walk. The breakfast selection was excellent, so much to choose from. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice and enjoyed the buffet starters from the salad bar, the two courses and the choice of desserts. The staff were most welcoming and friendly especially Elke and the waitress Maria (sorry if I have the wrong name). All the staff were patient with my few words of Italian and speak English fluently. Our room was a good size, well furnished and well cleaned. Yes the decor was a bit tired and overdue for the imminent refurbishment but it did not spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. It was lovely to see Bardolino during the buzz of the wine festival but good too to experience a quieter Bardolino after the festival had packed up. Transport links with busses and ferries were good and was our first holiday without a car. We plan to return.

Beautiful lake location.
Beautiful location on Lake Garda. The path along the lake takes you to many interesting places. Bikes are available for you to ride 5k to Lazise which is a great little town with the backdrop of a castle. Hotel is well cared for and staff is great! Breakfast is worth booking ahead.

Next to the lake with wonderful open views. On the edge of Bardolino so quiet. Pleasant walk into the town. Room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast very good indeed. Varied choice. Good coffee. Most guests German speaking. Attentive service from the waiters. Second visit and will not be the last.

Lovely hotel
All the reception staff were always cheerful, very friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms and surrounding areas were kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast was plentiful, good food and lots of choice. The hotel is situated a 5 minite walk away from the hustle and bustle of the main town right on the waters edge so a perfect location. The only thing letting the hotel down a little is the outdated decor and the bedside lights in our room were a little wobbly.

Wonderful friendly hotel, great location
Last minute decision on a long weekend and this was awesome! Staff are helpful and friendly. Clean and quiet room, well stocked with towels and toiletries. And whatever you do, DON’T miss breakfast, it’s wonderful!! Location is ideal for a short walk to Bardolino or a gentle longer wander to Garda. Perfect!

Great position overlooking lake and easy walk to main town square. Lovely food selection and friendly restaurant staff. Bed mattress a little flat and firm for me and pillows could be fuller and softer but overall a great stay. 👍

Hotel Nettuno, Bardolino
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. English is spoken! The hotel is situated at the Northern end of Bardolino close to the camping site (note no noise from the site) and the lakeside path to Garda (40 minutes walk). The hotel overlooks the Lake with a road between the hotel and the Lake. Again very little noise from the road. It is approximately 10 minutes walk into the centre of Bardolino, with its many shops, and the ferry terminal. We only stayed bed and breakfast so I am unable to comment about the evening menu but the breakfast buffet contained cereals, fruit, cheeses, ham, toast, beans, bacon, scrambled eggs etc and was plentiful (served 7.30 - 10.00 am). The room was pleasant, clean and sufficiently large. We had booked a 'lake view' room and this was a little disappointing as the room only had a corner window, so the lake was only visible if you stood in the window. There was no balcony. The bed was a little too firm for us! Also the air conditioning was not working at the time but this is probably normal for the time of year, but Easter was unusually warm. Overall a pleasant stay.

A lovely week in Bardilino
The Nettuno Hotel is placed by the Lakeside with wonderful views and a lovely scenic walk into the town of Bardilino. All the staff were excellent, welcoming and helpful. A special mention to Loris in the Restaurant who is multi lingual and could recommend places of interest to visit. The hotel has very reasonably priced bike hire, serves good breakfasts and evening meals. Definitely a good choice of hotel.

First time to lake Garda
Lovely hotel in a good position close to all amenities and ideal for the ferry. Bardolino is one of the larger towns on the lake and has a great choice of restaurants etc.

We felt well looked after at Hotel Nettuno. An outdoor garden seating area would have been appreciated in addition to the rather cramped poolside and the covered terrace where guests were smoking cigarettes. Also, there was a lot of noise from rowdy folk returning from the nearby bars etc which woke us nightly in the small hours - not the fault of Nettuno but still a problem in the rooms at the front of the hotel. Generally speaking, a very good hotel in a convenient location with a good restaurant and excellent staff in all departments.

What More Could You Ask For
First visit to Lake Garda and Nettunno is the perfect place to stay. Right on the lakeside and ideal base for accessing Bardolino and lakeside walks to Garda, Lazise. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. The staff were exceptional - nothing too much hassle. The restaurant is excellent - the breakfasts are just wow! Dined in couple of evenings - 4 course menu for €20! Couldn't fault anything. Definitely be back!

We had a very comfortable room with a great view from our balcony and all the extra amenities. The staff was especially friendly and helpful, and the food at the hotel restaurant was above average. Our stay was altogether enjoyable, and the nearby scenery north along Lake Gard was spectacular.

A great Hotel on Lake Garda
Our stay at the Hotel Nettuno was an overall fabulous experience. Starting with the front desk staff, very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was beyond my expectations , very good with many choices. Loris is a master in the dining room. He runs the show and is helpful and entertaining all at the same time. The 5 course dinner for 20 euros is the best deal in town. It is located on the prominade overlooking beautiful Lake Garda and is a 5 min walk the the town center. Most of the people staying here have been comming yearly for over 10years, I can see why it is a very friendly comfortable and helpful hotel. We stayed only 4 days and felt like family.

Lake Garda's Best Hotel
Everything about this hotel was just perfect from the location, the rooms, the service, etc. We were amazed at the number of people who had stayed there for their vacations 8-10 times. That says something. The location was great as it was right on the water and with a short walk to both the bus and ferry to get around all of the cities on the lake. The view from our 3rd floor room looked fake it was so beautiful. Both the front desk and dining room staff was so helpful and friendly we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying on Lake Garda.

Fab location. Fab bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaning staff. Clean. Food great. Reception staff were hit and miss. Lovely one day but the same person could be quite unfriendly and unameniable the next. On check in we weren't shown the facilities or told the times of restaurant etc. Just given the keys and 'off you go, sort yourselves out'. But in the next breath they were really lovely and helpful etc. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was nice but felt tired, I don't believe it justifies the cost, especially having stayed in an amazing hotel in Riva for nearly half the price. It was a pleasant ten min walk from bardolino but Garda felt to far on feet. Our room lake view was ok but again probably not worth the extra cost. The hotel backs onto a busy walkway/road so whilst at the pool it can be noisy.

Lovely, slightly dated hotel with fabulous views of the lake from the terrace. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location close to town, a short, flat walk away. Bike hire available and very reasonable. Not much on at night's, maybe the time of year we visited. Other guests were also friendly. Would definitely go again.

Myself and husband spent 6 nights end June 2017 and had a good stay. Hotel is generally a bit old fashioned but comfortable, lovely pool and very helpful reception staff. Breakfast was good but the same every day, some variation would have been good. Room was quite small but ok. We felt quite young at times (we are mid 40s!) as many other guests were quite a bit older ;-). Great location for lake, walking to town or Garda. As we didn't book with travel agent we felt like we missed out on info eg there is a free Tuesday boat trip and drinks reception (we did go to the latter but only found out by accident). Overall good stay !

This hotel offers a large room with old charm and modern amenities. It offers the only rooftop bar in Venice with to die for views.It's also across from mainland, which is nice to escape the crowds. We were here on our honeymoon and so happy we stayed here!

The room was comfy and I got a lake view. Clean and uncluttered. Coffee available for free and a mini bar (which I used) which want as extortionately priced as I have seen in the past. The location is just as advertised. RIght on the lake. About 3 minute walk to the main tourist area and ferry terminal. Best thing about this place is the staff. I was a lone traveller who hadn't researched much before going but as other reviews had glowing references about Loris and Rosanna, I knew I would get help. Loris spoke to me every time I went for breakfast and helped plan an awesome trip. He really is a good guy, and not over powering which was my worry before meeting him. I'm a 34 year old, most of the other guests were in later years and Loris could both charm the others, and make me feel welcome too. Rosanna helped with all logistics too and I didn't struggle to get to places. The only other staff I had any dealings with was at the bar, and I was well served there too - a lot.

Amazing break at this wonderful hotel!
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough..... all of staff including front of house, bar, restaurant and cleaners were so friendly and welcoming. A special 'thank you' must go to Loris the restaurant manager whose charm, wit and attention to detail made the holiday so much more enjoyable for us. He was a true professional and along with his efficient team in the restaurant nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent with a good offering for both breakfast and dinner. The set dinner menu at 19 euros for 5 courses was fantastic value for money and very tasty. Our room was on the 2nd floor and overlooked the lake with beautiful views. There were only a couple of minor gripes about it which certainly did not affect our enjoyment of the holiday..... firstly the shower was not very powerful and secondly the tea and coffee offerings were not replenished on a daily basis. The pool area although fairly small was kept immaculately clean and tidy despite being out of season and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons lazing on the sun beds basking in the glorious October sunshine. There are bikes available to hire from the hotel at a very reasonable 6 euros per day and with so much to see in the area this proved to be a great option on one of our days. We would have no hestitation on returning again in the near future.

Great Location, Lovely Hotel!
Very clean and welcoming hotel. Overlooking lake and only 10 minutes from shops and restaurants in Bardolina. The harbour and ferry point ensure travel around Lake Garda can be done with ease, alongside the local buses. Reception staff really helpful and happy to assist with queries and suggestions of places to visit. Would recommend hotel as although looks a little tired in photos was kept meticulously clean. Breakfast, taken on the terrace, was of a good standard with plenty to choose from. Not much downtime on our trip as so much to see and do in the 5 days we stayed but will definitely return and stay at the Nettuno.

Nice Stay
This a good hotel located in the quite end of Bardolino. The centre is a short walk away. The amenities were great and very good service everywhere- reception, housekeeping, restaurant, and bar. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Mixed feelings about this hotel. We had been travelling round Italy and were looking forward to a relaxing time by Lake Garda and had booked a Lake view. We were a bit disappointed about the lack of a balcony - the hotel in fact only has 4 rooms with a balcony and lake view and you should book at least a year in advance (September anyway). Breakfast was excellent but we cannot comment on evening meal as we walked out to town every evening. Ten minute walk to town, half an hour to Lake Garda. Staff work very hard and are endlessly polite and helpful. This side of Lake Garda is something we would not contemplate again as all the walking we did was spoiled by cyclists - not those enjoying a relaxed cycle but the groups and individuals who were going so fast and dodging in and out of walkers - not in any way relaxing and quite stressful.

Nettuno is a lovely, quiet, delightful hotel. The star of the superb restaurant is Lorus, the maître d. With a smile and a warm welcome chat every morning he has trained his staff in the art of providing true service. Meals are excellent with great selection at breakfast buffet and dinner (optional but very good value at 19€) and a good selection over 4 courses. As a single, senior traveller, I was made to feel " special" and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is well positioned within 15 min. of the ferry in Bardolino giving access to all the lovely towns on Lake Garda. I would highly recommend this hotel.

7 Night trip to the Hotel Nettuno Bardolino
We stayed here for 7 nights and booked the bed and breakfast. The breakfasts are good, the rooms and pool area were kept very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Service for drinks and breakfast were very good. Staff at reception, in the restaurant/lounge and house keeping are very friendly and informative and able to provide good information and recommendations on places to visit. Bikes are also available to hire at very reasonable prices. Loris who manages the restaurant deserves a special mention for brightening everyone’s days with his witty conversation each morning and Veronica on reception for dealing with a range of requests and challenges in a calm and efficient manner. This was our first trip to Bardolino and the hotel was very well positioned for walking into Bardolino, a pleasant 10 minute stroll by the lake. Bardolino itself has excellent restaurants, shops, the harbour for catching the ferries and the option to get a feel for Italian opera at the old church. A good quality, well located hotel with easy access to Bardolino, other lake venues and Verona itself.

Comfortable friendly hotel
Hotel is situated by the lake. A short walk from Bardalino and about a 25 minute walk from Garda. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and kept spotlessly clean. The hotel dining room has a good dinner menu, changed each day. Food is prepared to an excellent standard. Dinner cost 19 euros and represented excellent value (cheaper and better than tourists restaurants in Bardalino).

Enjoyed every minute... Highly recommend this hotel as soon as our rooms were left in morning for breakfast we had come back and they were tidy and clean again.. Great breakfast choice to full English buffet or croissant's fruits yoghurt toasts a bit of everything. A five minute walk into Bardolino which is a beautiful bustling with tables on cobbled alleyways, plenty to eat drink and shop here

Great place for great holiday
We stayed at Nettuno for two nights and it was a great choice. The hotel is located on the lake side. It will take you just 5 minutes along the lake to get to the village centre. The hotel itself is also lovely - well-maintained, clean, good staff. Breakfast was great - a lot of choice. They offer dinners with set price of 17 euros and this is a really good deal!!! And , of course, we have to mention Loris - he made our stay at the hotel very special. It's just amazing but he managed to greet everybody in the restraunt and found very special words for everybody. he is a real star!
