“small friendly hotel in ideal location”
This hotel is not posh or grand, it's small and friendly, family run, and everyone speaks good English. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Those on the lake side (essential to reserve these -- but not ground floor where patios give onto a lawn and are not very private) are quiet and have fantastic views from the sliding door windows and balconies. Rooms on the road side suffer from traffic noise. Good range for breakfast -- this and snack lunches can be taken on a raised deck overlooking the lake. There is a nice pool for cooling off from the hot sun, and if windy it's sheltered sitting on the surrounding lounger area. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the centre of town -- far enough away to be peaceful, but close enough for easy access to restaurants, shops and ferries.
