“A very relaxing place to stay.”
The Admiral Hotel Villa Erme is a very nice hotel, very comfortable and quiet. The continental breakfast is very good with plenty of choice. There is a lovely swimming pool and outdoor hot tub on the roof, which is lovely in the early evening. Even though the hotel is on a main road it is very quiet, you don't hear the traffic. But handy if you are travelling by car. You can have an evening meal at the hotel, or there is also lots of little trattorias and retaurants within 5 mins walk. Rossi and Rossi is a very nice restaurant about a 3 min walk. We found the staff all very friendly and helpful. The ladies on reception were great with advice on where to eat, where to go and how to get there. Advice on where to buy the cheaper bus tickets rather than on the bus! The hotel is about a 20 min walk from the center of town and the ferry, but when you're relaxing on holiday it is a pleasant stroll. There is also an hourly bus stop nearby to the centre of Desenzarno. You can also get free bike hire at the hotel. Everyone cycles, very good wide footpaths. We would definately stay there again when visiting the region.
“Great hotel definitely 4 star!!!”
The team members at the hotel were very helpful. Thank you!! Great style and very clean at the hotel. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and good quality food.
“Great hotel!”
We stopped off at Lake Garda for a night on a driving holiday and were very impressed with the hotel. Great location and easy to find. A short walk from the edge of the lake and also restaurants if you decide to eat out. There is a restaurant in the hotel, breakfast was simple but a nice selection of things. Our room at the front of the hotel had it's own private balcony with table and chairs. Room was small but big enough if you aren't staying for a long time. Bathroom nice and big but no bath, just a shower cubicle. Staff spoke very good english. Garage parking is underneath the hotel and very secure. Wifi available in the room. Definitely recommend and stay there again.
“A very good hotel”
We visited in April 2011 and enjoyed our stay at the hotel , which is worthy of praise in in all respects . Some guests may contend that its location is too far out from the centre of town (and the boat pick up points!), but we enjoyed the pleasant 20 minute or so walk and there are other bars restaurants and some shops about 400 yards or so from the hotel (also a very large, good quality Sunday morning market !) . The swimming pool, gym area, whirl pool, table tennis area and sun terraces are all attractive and clean. We did find the offer of creme -caramel as a main meal dessert option (one of two other than ice cream ), every evening to be unusual , but were informed that it is an Italian favourite - and there was a good number of Italian guests (few English - but in a way this added to the 'getting away' feeling). We also found the lack of carbohydates served with the main course to be 'different' , but understandable if one chooses a high carb' starter . Finally, whilst there was a great television in our room, we could only locate one English speaking channel - a USA news channel. This was only an issue for our 14 year old son - but as we explained " we were in Italy".
“Excellent little hotel”
This is a 3 star hotel, however it could easily be 4 stars and the staff and service is definately 5 stars, very friendly and helpful, somewhat out of the way but got us to walk and explore the town.
“Very impressed”
Excellent hotel, felt very welcomed by hotel staff the rooms were really good, easy access to bus to train station, otherwise a half an hour walk, which is quite pleasant. Desenzano del Garda is a very quiet and beautiful place. Highly recommend.
“Perfect for a family holiday”
We loved this hotel. Really convenient secure underground car park. Helpful staff. Our room was a good size witha balcony. The jacuzzi and sunbathing area was right outside our room. The pool area was lovely and clean, stylish. Good value evening meals. Very short walk to local beach and other restaurants. Desanzano was a bit smaller than some of the other resorts in Garda
“Excellent hotel-cant reccomend highly enough”
Great hotel with amazing food.Got a good deal half board with Expedia.Nice pool and Jacuzzi-ideal if you have a car to travel round the lake .
“More like a 4*, would definitely stay here again!”
Had a great time staying at this hotel. We stayed half-board and the food was of a very high standard and of a good variety. The staff were very friendly. The rooms were great apart from the air conditioning which we could sometimes hear going on and off through the night.
“Great hotel, will go back”
My wife and I thought that this was a great little hotel and we will plan to go back on our next trip to lake garda. Staff were great and extremely helpful. We ate in the hotel and were very impressed by some good quality meals. You may do better by going out but if you and your kids are tired after a day of swimming and sightseeing it is great to be able to eat at the hotel. Our kids loved the pool.
