“Great location”

Even though this hotel is not on the water, you are a minute walk away. From the sunroof you can view the surrounding Alps and Lake which we truly enjoyed over a bottle of wine. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms were spotless. We woiuld highly recommend this hotel. Great value.

“Would come back”

Affordable hotel in nice neighborhood - 100 m from city hall and 200 m from the Lake. Walking distance to train station and all major sights in the town. Free internet access, excellent breakfast, very clean room - what else a business traveler can ask for! :)

“Overpriced, with indifferent service staff”

I reserved a king non-smoking room. We got a queen room, that although apparently non-smoking, was invaded by cigarette smoke every morning. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean. There is a cathedral across the street that rings the church bells every 15 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Extremely annoying. The front desk staff were indifferent. The price was outrageous, apparently because of a convention in town. There are many neighboring towns with cheaper accommodations and just as much, or more, charm. The seaside walk is a gong show here. The Zeppelin Museum is first rate. All in all, I would not stay here again, despite its proximity to the main train station and waterfront.

“The hotel was just right”

For a little money booked on Expedia.com the hotel was located in the city center, parking and breakfast included. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had in this hotel category. Would recommend this hotel.

“Brilliant hotel for Leisure and Business.”

Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Hotel reception area and individual rooms were very clean and comfy and spacious. Food at the hotel was nice and not too expensive. We were working at the Messe which was easy to get a taxi to from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to use it for Business or Leisure purposes. We have kept the details for any future visits to Friedrichshafen so will definitely use it again!!

“Convenient business hotel”

Great location for waterfront, harbour, ferries, etc. Outstanding breakfast. Rooms small but comfortable. Good shower. Internet is a T-Mobile hotspot, good signal. Many shops and restaurants within short walk. Guests seemed to be mostly business travellers, though.

“my stay at Hotel City Krone”

The hotel is very modern (exterior and interior), and even though it is small, it's organized in a very smart, comfortable, and fashionable way. I liked the location, right next to the shopping center, the shoreline, bars and pubs, and the Zeppelin museum. Be sure to take advantage of the pool / sauna /massage room / tanning salon. Recreation center in the basement is very well designed and organized. The continental breakfast was the best I have ever had. The choice of local cheese, bread, meat, fruits, muesli, and other offerings was beyond my expectations! I have already recommended this hotel to few of my friends.

“Great location Lake Constance area is a beautiful part of the world.”

Traveller's tip
Get a copy of Lake Constance Tour Guide booklet 7 pounds. It provides good information on all lake towns and Rhine river area. Allow about 5 to 7 Days to cover the area. Check that boats are all timetabled when you travel e.g. after April 5th. Enjoy
