“Lovely Hotel on the lake”
Great location but understaffed out of session (bar was unmanned or closed. Dining room is very large with great views but meals are average and Saga bus tours seem to be taking over the hotel. Great location and plenty of places to eat out which is recommended
“Would not go back”
the location of the hotel is the one of the few things I could say I liked about the hotel. The room is was promised was not the room I received. I am a family of 5 and payed a great deal to have a suite to accommodate my family. We were given one room with 5 twin beds in it which left little floor space. The bathroom Shower flooded daily and the roo. In general had a wet musty odor. The ground floor of the hotel also showed water damage in the halls. Internet service ,which was an additional charge, worked occasionally at best and the only way to have a signal was in the lobby. I would not go back ,overpriced ,but location was lovely and some staff were helpful
“Lake Como in MAy”
Absolutely beautiful hotel with exceptional views of Lake Como.
“Well looked after”
Great location. Great views of lake and Bellagio etc. Hotel comfortable and relaxed, staff very helpful and attentive. Ask for a lake view room, you get a small balcony, well worthwhile.
“superb location and view”
the hotel has a marvellous location with a dream view, small but good rooms with nice bathroom. It was not wise to have roof bar closed for the season (starting October) the only unsatisfactory service was breakfast; it was very weak
“A hotel for seniors”
The hotel is pretty nice. We had a huge balcony but not every room seem to have one. Staff was a bit arrogant when we were checking in but this is usual if you are not speaking Italian I guess. I wish I knew before booking that pretty much all the guest in the hotel are 60+ years old. Breakfast was good.
“Classy but very reasonable.”
You can't beat this hotel for good location, great vistas, terrific service and you are in Beautiful Lake Como. If you don't want to eat in the Hotel you have several good choices nearby. The ferries to Belagio and the Lake are just a short walk away. Rooms are a little small but when you have a Lake view it doesn't matter. The Grand Hotel Tremezzo is right down the street but at half the price at least, you stay at this place and spend you're money elsewhere. You'll love this place.
“NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL - STAY AWAY”
How bad can you go. We were booked into this hotel, along with 18 other people for a close friends wedding. ALL guests were supposed to be in this hotel. The bride & groom checked on 2 occassions prior to my arrival that all the rooms were ok and left gifts to be placed in each room. At NO point were they told that we, along with 5 other room bookings i.e. all their wedding guests booked through yourselves and arriving on Sunday 22nd had been moved to the Grand Hotel Menaggio. The explaination on arrival was that the hotel had overbooked 30 rooms. The hotel did not, an incompetent member of staff did. This caused considerable upset for the couple who had planned for all guests to be in this one hotel, walking distance to their hotel. The staff were rude & unhelpful. Finally, given there was no alternative, we & the other guests agreed to move. We were told we would have free taxi's to & from our wedding destinations. We were consistently charged and then had to debate these charges with the reception staff at the GHM but not only that we wasted considerable time waiting for taxi's. The walk from the wedding hotel to the GHC was 10 minutes, we lost 2hrs waiting for taxi's. The service we received was totally unacceptable.
“Beautiful setting on Lake Como”
A beautiful and luxurious hotel right on Lake Como. Our room had a balcony overlooking the lake and mountains - absolutely gorgeous! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The only thing we weren't crazy about was that the there was no shower curtain which made it difficult to not get the toilet and bathroom floor wet while bathing...
“Wonderful experience”
Great hotel for a great price. If you are looking for a quiet getaway in a nice hotel on the lake for a good price, this is it. Room overlooked the lake, very clean, new bathroom. A number of restaurants within walking distance along with the ferry to Bellagio. Park the car and forget about it.

Area:
Cadenabbia, Italy: Cadenabbia may lack the cachet of some more fashionable neighbouring resorts, but its agreeably sedate hotels enjoy views no less appealing from their vantage points above the Tremezzina waterfront. Here the lake is at its widest point with regular ferry services to Bellagio and Varenna. Long favoured by the British, its Anglican church dates from 1891. The lakeshore lido has a pleasant terrace café.
