“Very good hotel in a great location”
Hotel is quite nice and very well located. Service was good and the cost/benefit is reasonable Would certainly go back
“Great hotel in the heart of Como”
I highly recommend this hotel. Lovely decor thoughout and good quiet rooms. Very central too. A perfect hotel to tour the city and lake of Como.
“Hoping to go back”
I stayed at the Albergo Terminus in Como between 2 and 7 June 2011 and was extremely satisfied with every aspect of the hotel, from the initial warm reception on arrival to the last day when the reception organised a taxi for Malpensa Airport and checked on its progress nearer the time of departure. Our room which was a twin-bed with a small terrace that had a partial view of the lake was very comfortable and cosy with beautiful blue silk patterned walls. The bathroom was very clean and the shower very satisfactory. The buffet breakfast was was very good and catered for everyone's taste with the staff at hand to offer quick service if needed. Finally, the location couldn't have been better, 5 minute walk to the ferry that took us on trips on Lake Como and to the Cavour Square which is the main square in Como Town. Hope it won't be long before I can plan my next trip and see more of the magnificant villages alont the lake.
“Elegant and charming hotel with history”
This hotel is beautifully restored and is in a fantastic position right in the downtown area. It is right on the water and very close to the Ferry,Train,Duomo and Funicular. Continental breakfast was included and was to a high standard in nice surroundings near the elegant and comfortable lobby. The hotel has a restaurant that is intimate and classy with an excellent menu. The car park is spacious and undercover. The staff were very helpful at all times and we would definitely stay there again.
“Great Location”
Nice place and great location. The only downside is the 25 euro per day parking fee. That was a bit of a surprise to us. Considering we took the car out everyday, paying 25 euros a day was a bit much I thought! Breakfast - very basic.
“Very comfortable witha an old world charm”
The hotel was situated next to the Lake next one of the main squares. Lake taxis where across the road and convenient. The resteraunt was expensive with more of a private club type atmosphere. Overall the hotel was very satisfying for comfort and convenience, but lacked facilities - health spa was the highlight! Breakfast was basic The water taxis are available and convenient and I would not be put off looking at other locations even if stated by others as being remote and quiet
“Como Gem”
Albergo Terminus was the perfect place to stay on a recent visit to Como. Its ideally located across from the lake and the rapidos that will take you to Bellagio and other waterfont towns . Its a 3 minute walk from the hotel to the funiculare that takes you up to Brunante for a fabulous view across the valley (a great place for an afternoon cocktail); and within easy walking distance of many restaurants as well as the train station. The staff was friendly and eager to help, the breakfast buffet included with our room offered numerous delicious choices and the room was elegant, clean and comfortable with a small balcony that was a wonderful surprise.
“Best Hotel in Como”
We've stayed at a few of Como's hotels, and the Terminus is the superior option. Not massively expensive, small but very comfortable rooms, great bathrooms and a very pleasant breakfast offering on a peaceful al fresco terrace. (Although the coffee is quite abysmal.) We had dinner in the Terme restaurant and the food and service were excellent, I had to send a bottle of wine back and the staff couldn't have dealt with it better. The next time we visit Como, we will stay at the Terminus again
“Will stay again”
worth upgrading to deluxe room; refurbished, good furniture, flat screen tv and great shower. Huge bed!
