I loved this hotel! It is very small, with I believe only 3 rooms, so be sure to book well in advance. We stayed in the "Casita" which I would highly recommend. It was beautifully decorated and had a large living room/bedroom area, plus a very well-organized kitchen and eating bar. The shower was great, with lots of hot water and beautiful tiles. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a Mexican hotel! Also, they have Apple TV so I was able to watch the Canadian men's and women's hockey finals which was awesome. The grounds are meticulously maintained, with beautiful statutes, fountains, foliage and a small pool. When you step through the gate into the hotel courtyard it is like entering an oasis!
What a pleasure to be in a room which looks out onto a lush garden. The room was, actually, rooms as there was a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room which also allowed for two more persons. This is not your western type of hotel at all, thank goodness. The water pressure is minimal (a dribbly, yet adequate shower) and the closet area somewhat dark, yet the feeling of safety and pleasure was all around. The nights, after 10 pm were wonderfully quiet (except for a couple of Americans talking in loud voices as they left the nearby restaurant).
The mineral pools and steam were wonderful and for a reasonable charge you can get a professional massage. The staff was very considerate especially Rodolfo the manager who answered our questions and made sure our stay was a positive one! We hope to return again next year!
It is a small but beautiful B&B. Chapala Lake view, well maintained flower garden, small but clean swimming pool. The breakfast was delicious; fruits, hot egg dishes, and plenty of coffee, juice, etc. The room was large with separate lounge for relaxing and reading. My only complain is that the internet hook up was not done in each room. It was only available in the main office/lounge area. The owner said the wiring to each room will be done very soon. Again, this was one of the best we have ever stayed.
