Our hotel was very pleasing. The room was small but it worked for use. We had a side view of the ocean from the room. Very clean as well. We only had a short stay. Everyone was very helpful. We had breakfast on the roof overlooking the ocean. They had parking close by as well.
We will go back when its a little cooler weather and stay longer!
I loved the location. It's right on Main Beach and within walking distance to Pageant of the Masters and shops and restaurants. They also have complimentary cookies and milk after 6 pm and wine reception at 5 pm. Nice touch.
Overall, our room was comfortable but dated. However, there was some ambient building noise at night. It sounded a lot like the HVAC but we couldn't pinpoint it so we just turned on the ceiling fan to cover up the noise. For $400/night + $35 for parking, I think The rooms should have been first class.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We loved the Montage! We have stayed in many great hotels, and on this trip to California also stayed in the Biltmore Four Seasons in Santa Barbara, and Shutters in Santa Monica. The Montage was far and away the best of these three. The service was faultless, the hotel and surrounding grounds beautiful, and dining options excellent. The views are wonderful, and little touches (like a complimentary champagne in the room bar), make all the difference - great attention to detail.
There is a 5 star restaurant in the grounds of the hotel - The Studio, which was great for a special occasion, but the more informal dining options were also great quality. Really, we couldn't find any faults! Well done Montage!

Nothing more, nothing really all that less. Simple accommodations in the heart of Laguna. Queen View room was actually a tad nicer and larger than I expected. Without a room with balcony and a view, I would probably not stay here. Even with an upgraded room, it felt like we were "glamping." Housekeeping was an issue. But for the price, I'm not sure there are any other options in town! We traveled with a two year old in a pack and play, there was adequate room for that to be set-up at night, which was a concern when booking.
Great location. Good for short stays. Small room, no air conditioning, and even smaller bathroom. Great terrace restaurant with overpriced coffee but very good food. Hotel staff exceptionally friendly.
What a great trip. Hotel Breakfast was top notch along with the staff. Really enjoyed the location far enough down to not get all the noise. The trolly that ran while we were there made life much easier getting to downtown. Victoria Beach which is closest to Casa Laguna was very private and mainly locals so it was a good time. Hotel was very clean rooms were a little bit small but overall could not have been happier.
This hotel was super clean and comfortable. Very modern layout. The only problem for us was that all of the rooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. The staff were very helpful. It has private, gated parking in the heart of town. I would stay there again. The price was great.

We come here annually for a car club event. It's a very pleasant stay, with beautiful gardens and views. It overlooks an expansive park and the marina. Several very good restaurants are within walking distance (it is a steep hill so you'll get your exercise). The staff is quite pleasant and helpful. Great live music in the lounge on Sat. night.
Reality TV portrays Laguna Beach as the land of the young and spoiled. But beneath this veneer is a city rooted in the arts. The Laguna Playhouse is one of the oldest theaters in the West Coast. The city also hosts the annual Festival of the Arts/Pageant of the Masters and the Sawdust Art Festival. West of Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove State Park’s unspoiled beach attracts snorkelers and divers.
