My wife and I spent our 12th anniversary here at La Casa Del Camino and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The setting was beautiful and the roof top view was the best in Laguna Beach. We stayed in the Spanish room which wasn't big by any means but was very cozy. I wasn't sure if we had anybody staying in the room/s sharing our walls but if there was we didn't hear them. The staff was great and the parking lot, being across from the hotel was a bit cramped so if you have a truck or a large car you may be pushing your luck but all in all it was a great stay.
A very luxurious hotel where attention to detail is paramount! Nothing was too much trouble! From the concierge through to the valet guys, there was always a friendly smile whilst being extremely helpful. The room was beautiful, nothing looked shabby anywhere! Would definitely return.

"Historic, cozy hotel with their own private beach."
Staff gracious and warm. Oceanside, outside grill offers excellent food. Our small dog welcomed everywhere in the hotel. Located right in the middle of town surrounded by numerous shops, etc. Downside: although room was clean, and bed comfortable, it definitely needs updating. Only receptacle for curling iron or charging cords was a power strip under the bed. Would definitely stay there again!
Seaside is a great place for people who are looking for something simple and want to be close to the beach. This is basically a renovated motel. If you crave "luxury", go elsewhere. Personally, I can't afford most of the hotels in Laguna, and I'm looking for a place to stay not a spa.
The key for me and my partner was getting a room with a view, and getting a 25% off discounted rate because we booked our stay last-minute on a weekday. Our porch with the ocean view was private (had a substantial wall between adjoining porches) and roughly half the size of our hotel room-- which made the whole stay worthwhile. The outdoor furniture was humble (even a little run down), the indoor furniture was clean and simple. The service was friendly and professional and the place was clean. We were a block from the beach, and close to trails and restaurants to explore. The whole experience was lovely, because of the porch with a view and the location, and exceeded our expectations.
There was a shared locked door between our unit and the next one, which meant that we could hear our neighbors at night and vice versa better than if there had been a wall, but it didn't detract from our stay.
The rooms are clean and modern with nice amenities. My biggest complaint was that all rooms are upstairs above a parking garage and you have to carry your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs outside. I would not have booked here had I known that, as I struggled greatly with my luggage and there is no staff onsite to help. Additionally, the hotel is set up with rooms located off a small rooftop courtyard area, and there was a family that chose to loiter outside our room the entire time we were there. And I mean every minute...with kids. The hot tub was gross and not hot. There is beach access not far from hotel, but no view.

Everything looks very well taken care of. A small hotel but is is comfortable and has internet access. Includes breakfast (which is a little bit difficult to find) but overall it is a good place to stay for a night.
It was a fun getaway, the hotel is very easy to find. It looks very cool and groovy from the outside. The rooms are comfortable. Very close to restaurants and the beach. The staff is very kind, helpful and welcoming.
Reality TV portrays Laguna Beach as the land of the young and spoiled. But beneath this veneer is a city rooted in the arts. The Laguna Playhouse is one of the oldest theaters in the West Coast. The city also hosts the annual Festival of the Arts/Pageant of the Masters and the Sawdust Art Festival. West of Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove State Park’s unspoiled beach attracts snorkelers and divers.
