After a horrendously long day getting to the hotel I was immediately relaxed on entering the hotel. Decor a little modern, and internal lighting in corridors a little too low for my personal taste but overall a nice feel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was spotless, as were the rooms. The breakfast was amazing, all the food on offer was mind boggling, all cooked/presented perfectly, any empty serving spaces were filled very quickly. The catering staff were brilliant! They certainly work hard for their wages... and were tipped accordingly at the end of our stay. The rooms were very clean, well maintained and functional. We had a three bed standard room (our teenage daughter came with us) The third bed was VERY hard, she could not get to sleep on it, so it was my husband's bed for most of the week. It was reported but I don't think anything could be done. I found the bathroom floors very slippery, we could have done with a non-slip mat in there. I was very greatful that we could choose a smoking room, I was able to indulge on the private terrace area attached to the room. The room service was good. The a la carte restaurant, spledid. Staff there were exceptional. The evening buffet was great for myself and my husband but my daughter struggled to find anything to her taste, we only dined there for one night (it was quite an expensive chicken nuggets and chips for my daugher) Overall I really enjoyed my stay, and would reccomend to all.
We booked a last minute break over half term with our 2 kids (12 & 9) in a one-bedroom apartment. The resort did feel a bit out of season and not all facilities were open (pool bar and spa). However, this didn't stop us having a fantastic holiday. The apartment was fitted out to a very high standard - powerful shower, very comfortable bed and a washer/dryer. Added bonus was that it was cleaned every day! Would recommend ground floor apartment if you have kids. The 2 swimming pools were fantastic, both huge with a plentiful supply of towels and very comfortable sun loungers. 2 good tennis courts. Beautiful gardens. Excellent beach nearby. We didn't eat in the hotel restaurant but plenty of choice locally - at the beach and in Lagos. Would recommend hiring a car, although the hotel did offer to pay for 2 taxis a day to go in and out of Lagos. We would definitely like to come back again.
