After a horrendously long day getting to the hotel I was immediately relaxed on entering the hotel. Decor a little modern, and internal lighting in corridors a little too low for my personal taste but overall a nice feel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel was spotless, as were the rooms. The breakfast was amazing, all the food on offer was mind boggling, all cooked/presented perfectly, any empty serving spaces were filled very quickly. The catering staff were brilliant! They certainly work hard for their wages... and were tipped accordingly at the end of our stay. The rooms were very clean, well maintained and functional. We had a three bed standard room (our teenage daughter came with us) The third bed was VERY hard, she could not get to sleep on it, so it was my husband's bed for most of the week. It was reported but I don't think anything could be done. I found the bathroom floors very slippery, we could have done with a non-slip mat in there. I was very greatful that we could choose a smoking room, I was able to indulge on the private terrace area attached to the room. The room service was good. The a la carte restaurant, spledid. Staff there were exceptional. The evening buffet was great for myself and my husband but my daughter struggled to find anything to her taste, we only dined there for one night (it was quite an expensive chicken nuggets and chips for my daugher) Overall I really enjoyed my stay, and would reccomend to all.
We stayed at this hotel for four nights and found its central location a huge plus point. From the hotel we could easily walk into Lagos and enjoy the atmosphere of this friendly resort. The hotel was just right for what we wanted. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly. The breakfast choice catered for every taste and whilst the 'full English' is not five star standard (why would you go to Portugal for a full English breakfast??), the continental choices were superb with lovely fresh fruit and pastries. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family
We first arrived to a slight disappointment as our booking had been lost due to a system upgrade, however the staff were very attentive and quickly gave us a room and sorted out the issue. After this our stay was smooth, relaxing and enjoyable.
The studio apartment in which we stayed for two weeks was clean and comfortable with a perfect view of the pool and beach. We spent many evenings on the balcony watching the swifts and seagulls busying around and looking out to sea. The beach opposite (Meia Praia) was very quiet with only a few people using it (which was perfect for us) with soft sand and lots of amazing shells.
On the days that we spent at the pool, there was always plenty of seating (both in the sun and shade), the pool was clean and was generally relaxing. Always people down there, but everyone seemed respectful of other guests.
The room did not have a kettle, but we didn't ask if there was one available so we cannot complain about that too much - but we boiled water fine using a pan. The oven itself is very usable, however both the oven and the hob were very slow to heat to start with but were fine once they got going.
Our bedroom consisted of two single beds which were very comfy and a decent size, however not perfect for a couple as we tended to slip down between them a little during the night!
The only real thing that was a little odd was that the windows do not have a catch, therefore the wind slams them shut if not held open with a chair.
Dinis and his staff are wonderful. The room was clean, pretty, and sizeable. A lovely touch was flower petals on the bed on our last night. The breakfast is excellent with a huge choice. The whole complex is very tastefully laid out, with three small pools to laze by the side of. The location is only a few minutes walk from the beautiful beaches of Doña Ana and Camilo in a nice quiet end of town. My girlfriend and I loved our stay and didn't want to leave.
