“Great hotel, if there for leisure”
My wife and I were in Lafayette for a reunion. The hotel was ideal as a leisure destination. It is close to all of the amenities of the Lafayette community and easy to get to from the highway or BART. It was as very quiet and comfy as a little second honeymoon nest. If I was a business traveler I'd be a lot less satisfied. I'd expect an ergonomic chair at the desk and complimentary wireless access. Charging for wireless on top of already fairly high room rates is simply a gouge. The desk chair may have been great 20 years ago, but not in 2011. The Lafayette Park Hotel and Spa needs an update on its thinking to match its style, which is supposed to be high end.
“Impressed!”
The room exceeded my expectations! If I should go back to the area, I would expect to return to this hotel.
“Great smaller hotel.”
Great smaller hotel, but with all the services of a large one including a nice spa and pool. Location is perfect if you're looking to be in the east bay.
“Weekend in October”
Food portions were extremely small for appetizers in bar and at pool. Poolside service was a bit slow. No one mentioned the daily charge for parking (or if I even had a car) that appeared on my bill. They offer a valet, but I opted for self-park my entire stay. Although there were 2 weddings while I was there, neither event interrupted my vacation in the slightest.
“Great Hotel”
Hotel personel was very accomodating, I was pleasantly suprised with the ambiance of the property reminded me of some of the better hotel's in Europe.
“One of the best places we've stayed”
Expedia had a great price and it made this a great place for an affordable cost. Still bugs me that high end hotels charge for Internet.... And be forewarned that they charge for parking. Other than that... This is an excellent hotel
“Excellent Choice”
Very nice boutique hotel In Lafayette. Older hotel that is very well maintained & has an excellent reputation, with a high-end restaurant The Duck Club on premises. You won't be disappointed at this place.
“Finest Hotel in Northern CA”
This was our third stay at this hotel and we were just as impressed as the first time. This hotel is a beautiful, quiet, comfortable and romantic slice of French Chateau set in the lush green hillsides of Lafayette, CA. Perfect location and easy access to all Bay Area destinations via BART or by car. The restaurant is fabulous and the service, supreme... not to mention the fabulous SPA. In a word... Se Magnifique! Our favorite hotel in Northern CA. Merci
“Nice”
It was nice to stay in a hotel where there was nothing wrong, the room was good, the beds were good, parking was easy, location was good....
“A real gem!”
This is a wonderful hotel, we stay here whenever we are in the area. The staff is always helpful and the food in the adjoining cafe is good. We enjoy the neighborhood and enjoy walking around in the shopping area on the main street. I just wish they were pet friendly.
