Great place for a short stay as the price is right

Posted 09-Jul-2015
Pros: Staff was great
Cons: It could use an upgrade.
Location: There are restaurants close by and shopping is a few miles down the road.
This a hidden gem that I would use again. Do not expect modern rooms but they are clean and the staff friendly.

Unexpectedly nice for the low price

Posted 07-Jul-2015
For a one-night stay in the middle of a long road trip, and traveling with a dog, this was the best inexpensive hotel experience I've had. Nothing is perfect in these places, but room was clean, staff welcoming and helpful, shower hot, and bed comfortable. Will stay there again when I make this trip in the future!

Needs upgraded

Posted 13-Mar-2015
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Upgrade the rooms conditions
Location: The location was great, 5 minutes from where I needed to go, purpose of stay
The room was a smoking room, I do not smoke, but that was the only one left. Cigarette burns throughout the room, on the chair, several on the bed spread, even on the card stand near the lamp. Bathroom needs regrouted, rug needs replaced and the sink under the cabinet was missing a floor board.

Comfortable accommodations

Posted 10-Mar-2015
Pros: Breakfast! Clean! Convenient to downtown LaGrange, a shopping mall, & I-85, Numerous restaurants nearby. Microwave, refrigerator, hair drier, iron
Cons: Paint the walls above the shower stall, clean the bathroom vent. Fix the soda machine (warm sodas) Overheard one guest complain that STILL not fixed
Location: LaGrange, LaGrange College.
We were fortunate in arriving in early afternoon and in getting a ground floor room owing to a handicap. AFAIK, there is no elevator to the second floor of either building. The manager was nice enough to rearrange things to accommodate this request. Unfortunately, we booked through Expedia which did not allow for this special request at the time of booking, AFAIK. Room was clean and convenient. TV only offers analog channels and a limited selection, but WiFi single was strong, hassle free, and convenient (65Mb rate). We stayed two nights for a conference at the College, and enjoyed the convenience and the quiet. The included breakfast was particularly nice. The breakfast was very good with eggs (scrambled and boiled), fresh fruit, fresh hot biscuits, sausage patties, wonderful waffles that you cook yourself, sausage gravy, doughnuts, bagels, juices, yogurt, cereals, and very good coffee and teas. The room had a convenient small refrigerator and microwave. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

More like a $60 hotel

Posted 08-Mar-2015
For the price we paid of $90 we expected more in terms of cleanliness. The sheets and pillow cases were stained and the toilet seat was not clean. The staff was friendly and the property was clean on the outside. The location was nice and there are plenty of fast food locations around. For the condition of the hotel and the room I would say this is more like a $60 dollar a night hotel versus what they are currently charging per night.

Good value for the money

Posted 23-Feb-2015 on Hotels
We were there for a funeral so this was an unexpected trip and not in my budget. The room was clean but need some repairs. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was good...near the interstate and still close to town. Breakfast was OK. Most hotels change the hot breakfast items everyday. Both mornings we got sausage gravy biscuits. The first morning the waffle maker was broken. Over all, It was a good value for the money.
