Close to all travel links, train, tram and bus to airport. Train is only 45 mins journey to Brussels centre from Charleroi station. The surrounding area was being upgraded so had noise from diggers but apart from that we had a nice stay here.
-Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating.
-Room was clean but everything seemed a little dated: towels were very thin, Shampoo/shower gel in dispenser mounted to shower and sink area, no extras like lotion, but they offered to bring you anything you might have forgotten like toothpaste, razor, etc. Beds were confortable with nice comforters and sheets.
-air conditioning not working on 1st floor, but they grasciously moved me to another room. First room was on the back/quiet side; new room right next to new building construction that started between 6:30 and 7 AM. Fortunately, I was up and out soon after. You would have thought I had my windows open, it was so loud AND so early.
-Didn't try the spa or gym so can't comment.
-All-in-all, a perfectly adequate stay for a night or two.
I was traveling on a motor bike and looking for a handy stopover on the way from Dunkirk to Luxembourg with free parking, wi-fi & early breakfast, this hotel fitted the bill, it's a little tired, looks like it is used by workers, a group at the entrance having a smoke, they opened the doors for me to get my luggage in, the room was adequate for a night and clean, with TV, the shower was hot, breakfast buffet was a little sparse, cereal, toast, croissant, bread roll, cheese & preserves, usual drinks, but plenty to fill you up for the day. The guy on reception was very helpfull. I wouldn't pick this hotel as a base for touring the area, but for a stopover or a couple of nights at the price it's hard to fault it.

A bit basic bad to find in the middle of town , a rather dubious area ,did not feel safe to go out into town, but once parked up ,car safe and we had lovely meal at the Italian bistro run by the hotel owners. A stop over for one night absolutely fine, but two nights no where to go locally so went to Laon a beautiful medieval city.

We used the Dream as a "home base" for day trips touring the area, plus it was just a few blocks from Mons' great Grand Place where we had dinner several nights. The hotel staff was unfailingly accommodating with even the tiniest requests, the rooms were "hip" and extremely spacious, comfortable, and immaculate; the restaurant (which is quite upscale) has a very casual outdoor patio where we had drinks most nights after returning from our day trips, a great way to unwind. We highly recommend the Dream, as our stay was a dream, and it would definitely be our choice of lodging for a return visit to Mons.
I had not stayed at the Ibis Mons Centre Gare before. The hotel location is extremely convenient, since you get off the train and just walk up a walkway (there is a construction at the station currently). The hotel is right across the street. It is a very standard Ibis, but rooms are quite spacious and have free Wifi (quite decent speed).
The restaurant was basic and it took a while to get the food since it was quite crowded, but the service was quite good and they apologised for being late. Unlike some other hotels in the area, the staff here are expat-centric, so they do not expect you to speak French for example.
All in all it is a decent hotel with an affordable price, close to the centre of Mons and I would recommend it.
