Excellent hotel

Posted 07-Sep-2014
Pros: In light that there are only a few rooms, felt the staff provided me with personalized service.
Small boutique hotel conveniently located next to a shopping center and close to restaurants. Rooms are very comfortable and modern. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to my needs.

Centrally located but small rooms.

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Centrally located, access to a nice gym across the hall, within a shopping mall that houses a multiplex-cinema, food court, arcade and various retail
Cons: Early check-in fee shouldn't be charged if the room is available/unoccupied.

The hotel staff was most pleasant and helpful. However, the rooms are small; and they charged me an early check-in fee even though the hotel room was available and ready (something hotels in the US would not do if the room was unoccupied).

Very cute hotel, but...

Posted 18-Jun-2014
Pros: Great rooms, great location, great breakfast and very stylish furnishing.
Cons: Maid training and maybe using the phone in the room instead of barging into guests rooms at 8 pm at night
Overall the hotel is excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating since we had a really early check in. The only incident that left a sour taste in our mouth was the maid. My husband and I had left our room around 11 am and put the sign on the door to not clean our room. We came back later in the day and our room was cleaned...ok...we aren't going to yell at someone for making our bed, but we left the sign on the door and it was ignored. Later that night, around 8, we were getting ready for bed since we had an extremely early flight to catch the next morning and I was in my towel and my husband was naked, about to get in the shower. There is a knock on the door, we don't answer because we are not decent and then a minute later, the maid takes her master key and opens the door?!!!?!! We scream and tell her just a minute. I walked over to the door and poked my head out and the maid says "courtesy water?" Are you kidding me?! The building better be burning down if you are coming in my room at 8 pm at night knowing that the room is occupied. My husband went and complained at the front desk and the reception was apologetic, but nothing was really done to keep this from happening again.

Best place in La Paz

Came in tired and hungry after 5 days in Southern Bolivia and were greeted with tea, Bolivian mojitos, and the friendliest, most helpful staff I've ever experienced. They went above and beyond every request we had. Great views from the rooms, awesome beds, ultra clean, incredible customer service, security, and great value. Highly recommended!

This hotel was everything I wanted after 10 days of travelling/trekking. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful even helping us book bus trips. I was originally only staying for one night but had to stay for two. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to excellent, but let down in 1 or 2 areas.

Pros: Personally presented chocolate was a very nice touch each evening, although it loses it's magic when you spot their superior stood behind.
Cons: Bar staff that could understand English words for beverages, especially basic words like 'beer'.
Location: Safe area with a shopping mall below, but a little out of the way of most attractions, pubs etc
I felt there were 3 things excellent about this hotel. First the personal approach of the check in/reception staff (and most especially Melanie, the girl who checked me in, who was outstanding in her professional approach to her job, grasp of English and knowledge of the city). Although reception was let down slightly on occasions when it's staff felt impersonal because they were busing doing office work, like I'd walked into an office environment. Secondly the view from my room, and third the interesting lighting metallic balls above the bed. The breakfast was also mostly excellent, although I know it started later than advertised the first morning of my stay as there was practically nothing ready 20 minutes after it was due to start, so maybe it could be more punctual. Areas that should be improved are bar staff that understand basic English words like 'beer', although it does improve ones Spanish, to be corrected on the correct pronunciation once I break into Spanish words after being unsuccessful using English words. Also a few of the power sockets in my room were loose.
