“Convenient & Price was Right”

We stayed at this hotel in November, 2011 for the Pitt/Louisville college football game. Driving in from Pittsburgh, it was a welcome stop along the way. It's proximity to Louisville and interstate 71 make it an optimal location. The hotel itself is ok. But, we weren't interested in finding anything exceptional...just simply convenient and clean. It satisfied both of our needs. Contrary to what I've read from other reviewers, the staff was friendly. However, there was a mixup in our final bill, which is likely to cause me more time in following up to be sure it was billed correctly. I suppose this could happen anywhere, so it's not enough to knock the hotel rating overall. The issue seems to be that the lady coordinating late night check-in's wasn't accustomed to Expedia reservations. Go figure.

Area recommendations
Go to Louisville to see the Churchill Downs, Cardinals stadium, and Maker's Mark Bourbon House.

“Cigaretts or no cigaretts, How long does it take to clean a room?”

Our room was on the 3rd floor. Every time i would get in or out of the elevator the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke was nauseating. Not sure if it was the slow house keepers or other people on the floor. Left our room at 9am and still at 5 pm our room was never cleaned. When they finally showed up there was 4 people in and out of the room. Was not impressed by this. The beds are very comfortable which was nice.
