We stayed at this hotel last weekend with my wife and son.
My son, in particular, like this hotel, because it is castle!
We walked around only old Quebec city for 3 days, and it was great experience.
It was completely another world, small Europe in Canada!
The bedroom/bathroom arrangement might not suit everyone, with the freestanding bath in the bedroom itself, but there is a good shower as an alternative. It would have been helpful if the receptionists had told us how difficult it would be to find a restaurant table at peek times in the evening but all in all a modern gem in a perfect spot.

Appreciated the extensive high end finishes in the bedroom and bathroom. The decor was also well executed. As others have identified, breakfast was scrumptious. The entire staff displayed great hospitality throughout our 4 night stay. Would highly recommend.
It was convenient the hotel was walking distance to L' Ketchup, des Bois, and Croquembouche.

Staff was great. Very accommodating. They stored our luggage for several hours until our room was available, at no charge. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free wi-fi, who doesn't love that? An overall great experience. If I am ever in Quebec again, I would definitely choose the Hotel Clarendon.
The staff was very friendly and acommodating. The breakfast is wonderful and has choices that most people would find quite adequate. We got the King Suite which has a separate closet, hallway, and bathroom. Our room overlooks Grand Allee (street name) where extensive construction is taking place. Since our stay was a long weekend, we weren't bothered by the noise of the equipment as there was no work on Saturday or Sunday. If our stay had been during the week I'd have wanted to know about the construction and noise ahead of time. Not much you can do about it but it could be a consideration for some.
The B & B is a very old home with a basement and 2 stories above. There are a couple of rooms in the basement, the owners are on the street level floor, and 2 or 3 rooms on the 2nd floor with a kitchen and dining room. We would recommend it and would stay there again.
