“Great hotel”

Facilities very good. The only downside, and not just the hotel, is that few people speak English. I expeted that a city like Barcelona would be very fluent in foreign languages, since a lot of their income is from tourism. Don't like the exchange rate, but that's the way it is.

Area recommendations
Difficult to get around. Even the Metro, which I expected would be simple, was challenging. Take the Barcelona Bus Turistic. It's well worth it.
Dining
Very good food, but again, the language barrier was a problem for me. If you speak Spanish, no problem.

“Friendly helpful staff”

Close to airport and Metro. Not in tourist hub but easy to get to everywhere. Staff really friendly and helpful. Modern and clean. Great for a stopover for a night or two.

“Unique Hotel”

Hotel is new, very nice rooms, very modern, and open. Restaurant is good when the waiters are not overwhelmed with more guest than they expect. Close to the Airport (15 minutes). If the location works for you this is a good value for the money.

“One of a kind”

On our last two days of travel, my husband and I like to be close to the airport. This hotel fit our needs perfectly. We were ten minutes from the airport and within walking distance from the hotel to a shopping center for last minute items. We felt safe walking around the area and visited lots of small parks. It was a little difficult finding the place with our GPS because the area has been redeveloped and the direction of the streets changed, but you can not miss the unique red building so we navigated by site to the location. We enjoyed the the ambience of the hotel and the food at the resturant was good too! The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Thanks Eduardo! We would go back in a heart beat.

“Not central but very convienent!”

The Hotel although visually very prominent isn't correctly addressed in most satnavs or google maps, having said that it once found worth it. The Hotel whilst not in the centre of Barcelona has excellent access to a very close metro station as well as buses. There is a large shopping mall and entertainment centre less than 5 minutes walk. The Hotel itself is relatively new and is of very good standard, each room is well equipped and has free Wi-Fi and TV. The rooms are cleaned daily and a well stocked and reasonable mini-bar is available. Although we did not use them there is also a gym, sauna and restaurant. Overall very impressed for a value hotel and good service. We would recommend this and probably use again.

All of all Barcelona is great and even off the beaten track is safe and exploring is easy.

“Very much Impressed- Want to go back again !!”

Excellent Service, Good Value for money, close to the Metro station. Friendly Staff. totally enjoyed my stay and looking forward to stay there again.

“Outstanding and but you may want to stay closer to the action in Barcelona”

Porta Fira was very clean and very modern. I would highly recommend it. It should be noted it is located approx 5 miles from the main thoroughfare of Barcelona. Only the hotel restaurant was nearby and always had to wait 15 minutes after ordering a taxi. Hotel service was very good. It didn't seem very busy. I believe it was relatively new. A large IKEA was located a short distance away.

Area recommendations
The main strip near the port and Christopher Columbus statue. We toured and used the "hop on, hop off" bus. Very good.

“Hotel Porta Fira - Barcellona”

Ottimo Hotel, molto ben fatto, servizio ineccepibile e pulizia soddisfacente. Unica pecca, mal collegato con la città.... ma stanno costruendo la metro proprio sotto, speriamo la aprano presto.

“Hotel Porta Fira - In un quartiere di Barcellona tranquillo e ben servito”

Camere futuristiche, anche troppo. Personale gentile ma asettico. Corretto per viaggi d'affari.

“hotel splendido vero 4 stelle! e vicinissimo alla metro, in poche fermate sei in centro!”

Veramente un bellissimo hotel, 25 piani che lasciano a bocca aperta, personale veramente gentile e disponibile, camera spaziosa e pulita.Comodo da raggiungere dall'aereoporto, prendere il bus num. 46. E' un po' in periferia ma vi assicuro che la fermata delle metro europa fira che vi porta in centro e' a 200 metri, nei pressi dell'hotel si trova un centro commerciale per ogni necessita' e molti ristoranti. Vi consiglio di portarvi un adattatore di corrente da italiano a spagnolo. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti della scelta e ve lo consiglio vivamente, rimarrete soddisfatti!

non perdetevi la fontana magica vicino a plaza de espanya, il camp nou, la pedrera, la sagrada familia e park guel, quando sarete sulla rambla fate un salto al mercato della boqueria verso l'ora di pranzo......
