Was attached to the station so was easy to find and very convenient. Loved the staff, extremely helpful from the beginning till the end. Room was beautiful, comfortable soft beds, great bathtub and loved the view from our room!
I recommend this hotel to EVERYONE it was so great.
Kyoto Tower is one of the famous landmark hotels of Japan. You are right across from Kyoto Station. Our room was very clean, excellent staff, and a stunning view. If you are "directionally challenged" like me, this is the hotel for you. From almost anywhere, you can look up and see the Kyoto Tower to guide you back. The hotel is perfectly located for excellent food, great shopping, a bus tour of the most famous temples and shrines in the area.
Well, this hotel is definitely not the most superior or comfortable one out there. The room is somehow old. The hall looks a little creepy to me. But, considering its alluring price, the room size and the prime location beat them all. The hotel is very close to the JR Kyoto Station, which includes the city's core bus stop, so that it's very easy to get to any hot tourist spots. Overall, the hotel provides necessary amenities for happy stays, with a little extra, like Yukata pajamas. I'm very happy with the value I got from the amount I paid. Highly recommend for students or budget trips, or those who want to experience most of Kyoto so that they won't have much time to spent in the hotel.
Lovely staff that goes above and beyond, styling and clean rooms, great location, excellent value. Could recommend the Kanra more. Kyoto is a fantastic city and, if you like boutique hotels, I can't imagine that there is a better place to stay. Also, the Japanese breakfast is delicious.
We spent 3 nights at Izuyasu ryokan and had a fabulous time. The decoration is a mix of traditional and modern, staff are absolutely amazing and and breakfast was delicious (we opted of course, for the Japanese option). Even though we didn't have a private shower (only a toilet and sink) the common bathroom was a delight, very clean and comfortable.
The ryokan is literally 5 minutes on foot from Kyoto station and the nearest subway station so it was more than convenient.
I would definitely recommend this ryokan and will very likely stay there again when I come back to Japan.
Welcome slightly luxe relief after lots of stays in rural ryokans and local "business" hotel rooms. Impeccably courteous, correct, and polite treatment typical of Japanese hospitality industry. the location right across the street from the rail station served our "last nite in Japan" purpose very well. Others planning a longer stay in Kyoto might want something closer to the attraction than this but it would be hard to find anything nicer all-around for a very comfortable stay there.
It was a wonderful experience to stay in this brand new hotel, we enjoy the Japanese style room and the hot spring on the top floor. The staff were very nice and helpful. I would strongly recommend to everyone.
About 3 blocks from station. Leave station via Hachijo East Exit, head left along the street where the station is, for about 2 blocks. You will see the hotel on your right, about a block from the station street. Excellent hotel, micorwave, coin laundry, staff have excellent English. Very clean and comfortable.
The second-largest terminal in Japan and one of the most modern buildings in Kyoto, the station houses a shopping mall, movie theater, hotel, and department store. Centrally located, Kyoto station is close to the business district and just 2 km away from the Kyoto National Museum and the Sanjusangen-do temple. Just 6 blocks to the west at the To-ji temple stands the tallest wooden pagoda in Japan.
