With a nice, inexpensive Japanese buffet breakfast to start your day, central location, and a convenient subway stop just down the block, this is an excellent place from which to explore Kyoto.
Just across the street from a park created from the former imperial palace environs, a ten minute walk from the Teramachi shipping district, with easy connections to Nara, Mt. Hiei, and other sites.
Single rooms are small, but inexpensive, the staff are helpful, there's a guest lounge, and guest washing machines. This will be my hotel of choice in all future trips to Kyoto.
