Perfect location for Ushaka and the beach

Pros: Safe location, handy to beach, excellent staff, free wifi
Location: Far end of the Golden Mile, short walk to beach and Ushaka Marine World. Good transport connections.
Booked realising the hotel was at the far end of the Golden Mile but was very satisfied. The room were excellent, likewise the staff. It would obviously help to have a car (there is ample parking). However, the beach is walking distance and it seems to be a safe area. There is also a bus outside the front door which connects all the way to Kings Park, ideal as we were there to watch rugby. The owners have done an excellent job converting a derelict building into a smart hotel. It was fairly quiet when we were there, which was unfortunate.

the stay was amazing the service was perfect, the only improvement that's needed is the variety on the food menu we had the same stuff every morning especially cereals. Other than that we had an awesome stay i wouldn't mind going back.

The receptionist found in the morning of 2014-10-09 at 07:55 was impatient and kept on saying to me sign please, sign please. She was clueless about the booking system used on line, I gave her the online booking reference number but she insisted I produce a receipt.DINNING AREA: Please please upgrade the area for me, e.g floor, walls, half tinted windows and food be in one place on designated tables.Above that I am query less. I was impressed by the evening visit by staff checking how am I doing-SUPPER!

you don't get what you pay for

If you don't book direct the hotel doesn't guarantee your room. This is what the hotel staff told me. I booked a large room with balcony and harbour view. I got a smallish room, no balcony, bathroom which was in essence part of the bedroom, opposite two lifts and a view of the car park. Take a chance if you like! Not in a good area. You definitely would not head out on foot at night.

Our stay at this hotel proved well any reasonable doubt that it was such a lovely place. It almost felt like a home away from home. The reception personnel and the Works Restaurant staff made it such a great time for us. Planning to spend the New Year at this hotel
