Solid and convenient if a bit run down

This 1000 Hills B&B has seen better days, but it is quite reasonable and has everything you need. Kitchen was well stocked though we didn't use it much. The pool was a bit dirty, but was pleasant to sit by. Breakfast is Euro/UK style, very nice. Very helpful and friendly staff. Secure and quiet neighborhood.

Hotel in quiet neighbourhood

Posted 18-Jun-2013
Pros: Comfort and hospitality
Cons: Map location.
Location: Located in a neighbourhood, this hotel is not a vacation spot.
Upstairs rooms were clean and comfortably furnished, the shower in our room was small and a large person would have difficulty with this. Breakfast was superb each morning, with a variety of choices from the buffet menu - wish that they would have offered bacon as a choice, as the spicey options are not everyone's choice. The gardens all well laid out and breakfast on the covered verandah is a comfortable pleasure. The owners have certainly spent considerable time and effort in making you feel comfortable. I would suggest that the web site show map co-ordinates as most people now have a SatNav. At the moment Google Earth shows the hotel on the wrong side of the road and 50m short of the actual address. All in all, this is a hotel that I would come to again and would recommend to my friends.

quiet place in nice residential neighborhood

very nice place if you want a quiet out of the way hotel. quite far from any activity, and super quiet during the winter especially. staff is friendly and helpful but leaves you alone for the most part. internet speed wasn't enough for me to handle the online meetings i needed to attend, but as long as you're not a high intensity internet user like i am you should be fine.
