My husband and I stayed at the Tourist Center Marko for 3 nights to visit Plitvice Lakes (only 15 mins drive from here). We drove from Zagreb airport and arrived at night so couldn't easily find where reception was, however this was obvious in the day as it is the main building between the restaurant and Villa Dora. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful man who talked us through all the attractions in the area and showed us to our room. Great customer service! The room itself was large, modern and clean. We utilized the badminton court (where we got rackets from reception) and lounged by the pool during our stay here. It is a well kept property with nice views. We didn't try the restaurant but were told it served traditional Croatian grilled foods. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!

Great spot
Great base for a visit to the Plitvice Lakes. The rooms in Villa Dora were comfortable and beautifully clean. The restaurant next door served good food. Would have liked to stay longer!

Greeting,shame on you for giving us this rating. We explained to you at the reception that lightning burned our internet router and that unfortunately we could not fix anything that day. Guess what the POS device is connected to? - To the Internet. Well, if there is no internet then there is no possibility to pay by credit card. We explained that to you and apologized several times. As for the rooms, you can see on you reservation exactly how many square meters the rooms have, which floor it is and exact pictures of the rooms. When you saw that the rooms were on the 2nd floor, we offered you superior rooms for an extra charge and you refused because it was obviously too expensive for you and you said that these rooms are great now. There was no smell from the toilet because we visit each room before the guests and you can see that from the reviews of other guests. Only you can be ashamed that you have no understanding for others when some accident happens (such as a lightning strike in electrical installations) but you immediately give bad reviews.Regards!

The way to the waterfalls

Everyone at Tourist Center Marko was very friendly. It was easy to find and provided easy parking. We enjoyed the pool for like a day. The only issue we had was the placement of outlets in the room. It would have been better if they were on either side of the beds. Overall, I'd stay there again.

We stopped at Marko for a night between Zagreb and Plitvice National Park and we wished we could stay for a few more nights! There were lots of activities offered by Marko (adrenaline park, swimming pool, massage etc.) and outside of Marko (quad biking, rafting etc.). The hotel itself was in great conditions - clean and spacious! Recommending especially for road trips!

The hotel is located about 15 miunites drive away from the Plitvice N.P. It was very clean and everything was comfortable and has a swimming pool, A.C. My family and I totally were satisfied.

The property has a swimming pool, however no bar o service available there. There is no fridge in the room, no possibility to put the towels to dry. When booked on Expedia, I entered the number of persons - 4 - and received a type of room and a price. After I made the booking, someone contacted me from the hotel and told me that for 4 persons an extra bed is required and of course an extra fee ... So in the end we payed more than agreed on Expedia.

Thank you for your review! Unfortunately we do not have a bar on swimming pool, but we have drinks at the reception that you can take to the pool. The expedia system did not withdraw the price for 4 person (extra bed) and that is why we contacted you. After that, we solved this with the expedia and therefore we apologize for that. In the economy rooms which you have reserved, we do not have refrigerators, but we have in standard and superior rooms and therefore the price of these other rooms are higher. I hope this did not affect your overall impression and that it was nice in our place Once again, thank you for your review!

Fantastic hotel close to plitvice. The rate was very reasonable and the hotel exceeded expectations. The restaurant was very good as well. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Great location, helpful staff
Great property, great service. Clean rooms, and only a short drive away from Plitvice Lakes National Park. We arrived past the check-in time (11pm) but we were notified about our room and the keys were already in there for us. We had no problems checking-in officially the next day. Friendly and helpful staff, and they give good recommendations regarding hiking routes in the park.

Great getaway place in very pretty town
Staff were exceptionally helpful and swimming pool very relaxing. We enjoyed the delicious lamb in the restaurant attached to the hotel, a must try.

Great Accommodation, Fantastic Restaurant
About 15 minutes from amazing Plitvice, this hotel offers a large pool and other facilities including a restaurant that offers reasonably priced, delicious food (the spit roasted lamb and wild boar stew were amazing). The room was clean and quite comfortable. The staff were very helpful and advised us where and when to go to Plitvice in order to avoid the huge crowds. Great choice!!

The hotel that I booked first cancelled almy reservation 3 days before my check in datr and I reserved Tourist Center Marko as a last-minute. It was surprisingly good, I got a really nice room at Donna building, very clean and everything new.

Great place near Plitvice
We had a great stay at the Tourist Center Marko. We wanted to stay near Plitvice and this was a good spot. The room was very clean and had a beautiful view of rolling hills. The bathroom was very modern. Customer service was great, the people working the check-in area was helpful and friendly. We were able to get free breakfast at a restaurant at the bottom of the hill. The people working there weren't as friendly, but they had a buffet spread that was good enough. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.

A bit of a distance from Plitvice Park, clean and newly constructed or renovated building, W-Fi only worked if you used your device by the office (where the router was), breakfast was mediocre. We stayed two nights, but they didn't clean our room - when asked they said they had problems with tourists complaining about people going into their rooms - unbelievable answer. Cash only - no credit cards.

Hotel has no air conditioning and it is located next to very busy road so it is difficult to sleep with the open window. Breakfast is probably the worst I ever had. Location is very good - not far from national park and also close to Slunj (river site place for swimming). It is also probably the only place with swimming pool in the area (just right for children). Restaurant is not bad.

I will strongly recommend this location and hotel. The staff was friendly, the restaurant food was very good and prices were just right. The buildings are brand new and very clean. I stayed there from the 12th to the 14 of July. At night we didn't need to turn on the AC, it was so nice and cool. We kept the windows open to appreciate the views and the fresh air. The hotel is very closed to the Lake Plitvice.

Bad coordination between guest registration and kitchen. Enough food at breakfast for 20 people but over 60 guests, including a large tour group. Kitchen staff tried their best to accommodate though. Hotel is converted from a warehouse/commercial building. Far from town center. Pricey considering quality, location and service.

Very good place to stay in Plitvice area, very clean, the person in the reception is very professional and nice. We had some problem with restaurant, on a dinner we got the portion of pork full of bones. The restaurant service is "5" points out of "10" only.
