Friendly staffs but not a great choices for breakfast buffet in the hotel's restaurant. Hotel car park is full and we need to park somewhere outside.

The is a very old and dated hotel that is in dire need of a renovation. The rooms were small by Crown Plaza standards and the morning breakfast offered very limited choices for those who prefer Western food. There were quite a few Western guests at the hotel during our stay, so they have a clientele that is pretty international. Even the quality of the Japanese breakfast was far from impressive. We have been traveling for three weeks in Hokkaido and have sampled many Japanese breakfasts. This was one of those at the lower end of the scale. There is a car park for those who drive, but it is not free. Nearby, there is a market with quite a variety of restaurants, especially in the evening when more open up. Unfortunately, none of the restaurants offer English menus so you just have to go with the photos and hope for the best. We fared quite well with the picture pointing and enjoyed three meals there.

I just want to stay overnight after arriving in Kushiro before going to other places. The srvice, room, etc. are fine, except that I find the room rather samll, even for a single person.

Air conditioning didn't work. Staff told us to turn it off and it would put out cold air. Staff then brought us a "portable AC" but it was really just a fan. I am American but can read Japanese so I could see they were misleading us. Very disappointing.

Good location and great service. Liked the lounge area with free coffee & tea, laundromat and hot spring in the basement. Room was generally good but if the towel bar was better placed it would have been even better.

Sunrise At Kushiro
It was our last stop before boarding our flight home to Singapore. As we arrived late, about 5pm, we could not plan any day trip to see more of Kushiro. But we manage to taste the seafood at Fisherman wharf. Bus ride to airport was smooth but would have prefer to drive if we had known it earlier that returning rental is very simple. Will stay for extra day in our next trip there. A nice place to watch the Sunrise.

Room with poor ventilation
I think it’s strange for the centralised heating/ac to be switched off in the rooms. The local clientele might be familiar with this practice but as an international brand, I think that the centralised heating/ac should have been switched on and its usage left to the discretion of guests. With no means to open the windows to allow circulation of air, the room was pretty stuffy. This was especially so in the night. Luckily, I only stayed for one night.

Nice modern hotel in Kushiro
Came to visit the tancho. Really love the modern hotel with view of the port. Room came with many beauty facial stuffs and mask was a nice touch. Hotel also provides humidifier to clean the air and provide moisture. Easy to walk around and enjoy the morning fog. Fish market is nearby and walkable. Car park access in basement is convenient. Nice.

Cruise Ship Catch-up
Due to airline and weather disruptions in Australia 8 couples missed the cruise ship in Yokohama. Therefore, we needed to book extra accommodation in Yokohama and Kushiro and flights into Kushiro. Although the larger cruise ships like the Diamond Princess berth at Kushiro Wharf No 4, a 15 minute and 1,970 yen taxi ride from Crown Plaza, some smaller cruise ships might berth in front of Crown. The Assistant Manager on the front counter was very helpful in ascertaining information about the ship and arranging taxis for all to the ship.

Comfortable rooms; great service
Hotel staff: extremely helpful! Although a staff who served me at 10:30pm spoke and understood little English, he tried to take care of my needs and tried to serve me to the best of his ability. Despite spending a lot of time to try to get my message across (patiently communicated for 45mins), I felt that he was very sincere in trying to help. Also, staff will happily assist in making bookings (I wanted to book a chartered taxi and they managed to get me a reasonable price). Hotel condition: a little old, but good value for money. Rooms: comfortably large for the most basic room type (Japan-specific). Request a room with a sea view. Convenience: not far from train station, but a car/taxi is still required Breakfast: had quite a variety. I especially loved the soba noodles and scrambled eggs/omelette! Tip to English-speakers: try to raise a query between 10am and 9pm for a smoother result

We've stayed in a couple of Hokkaido hotels and found that the international chains here have left a lesser impression on us than the local chains. Not that it's bad but I think from a value perspective, we expected more. Crowne Plaza Kushiro was conveniently located for some of the nearby eats like Washo market and the Fisherman's Wharf MOO place. Our twin corner room provided sufficient space for our family of 4 (2 young kids) but housekeeping was mediocre and breakfast so-so. On-site parking was unavailable both nights due to events so we had to park at the next building. Front desk was pleasant. Might rate it better if it had an onsen.

Great hotel, good location, free parking Terrible service though, staff barely spoke or understood English, had to communicate in Japanese, they did not want to help in booking//confirming my flight ticket.. And only gave me my breakfast free coupons not at check in but after I insisted on the day of breakfast

it was a relaxing stay as I used it for a break from all the trekking that was done. A bit of a walk from the train station but I think facilities wise it is good enough.

After bike breakdown, good spot to get mojo back
Great spot after a hectic previous when my harley had broken day and spent day fetting back on the road. Service was superb, room was truly no smoking. Had water view and with open windows, temp was just right. We ate at the fish BBQ write outside hotel on river. A hoot, you buy tickets, pick your seafood, veggies, spirits if desired snd sit at charcoal BBQ and cook it. Don't worry, staff will help. Met another harley rider here too.

A very comfortable hotel!
We stayed here for two nights as we wanted to go and see the red-crowned cranes nearby. The staff, like all Japanese hotel staff we met, were friendly and spoke enough English to get checked in and get some decent food (we ate in the Japanese restaurant in the hotel, it was good!). The room was a decent size, beds very comfortable, and a good view of the river. We even saw two eagles sitting on the ice on the river! For an amazing breakfast, head to the fish market near the station, buy a cheap bowl of rice and then chose your sashimi from one of two stalls. Amazing and fresh!

Spacious room with good view of the harbour.
Overall a nice hotel with a great view of the ocean. Rooms are big and spacious and nice location near MOO which the airport bus stops. Also walking distance (approx. 10 to 15 min) to many good food, for e.g. to the Washo Market and the Kushiro JR station. The only disappointment was the house keeping where we thought was not up to usual hotel standards. The bed sheets were not properly tucked in a smoothen out, extra pillows and bolsters were left in a corner instead of being placed neatly back on the bed. Room slippers were also left strewn on the floor as how we had left it instead of being placed neatly.
