This is a small Hotel In Istanbul located on the European side of the city within walking
distance from Blue Mosque and other tourist attractions, like the old bazaar.
Staff was impeccable, always ready to help. Breakfast is included and is real, real good.
This was probably the best breakfast from all places we've ever traveled.
This hotel is well looked after. My room was spacious and clean with lots of windows and a great layout. Staff were very helpful and the rooftop deck for breakfast has great views! It is close to all the main tourist attractions and everything is walkable. It is down the hill from the tram and the grand bazaar (if you have trouble with hills, you can take a taxi or select another hotel as it is a long hill but totally walkable for those without mobility issues).
The room was a bit small but we would only come at night to sleep there so that was no problem. It is close to a lot of things. There is a small bakery just a few doors down and it was delicious. Location was very good. There are a lot of locals walking around 24/7 so it felt very nice to see how they interact daily. The shower area was very tiny but not a big deal. The room had an a/c system but it was more like a fan bc it wouldn't cool the room down. we opened the window and problem solved.
When I first arrived I was put in room 301. This is not a nice room. The day after I was moved to a room in the new extension. This was a nice room. Breakfast needs to have more varieties. The only available drink was orange concentrates which has a medicinal aftertaste. They should include proper fresh juices. The TV reception was bad. They also need to add a list of English channels to make them easy to find. Every room needs an iron and an ironing board instead of asking reception for one when one needs it. But all in all for the price the hotel is good and the staff are always helpful and cheerful.
Walking distance from Sultanahmet is Kumkapi, the traditional home of Istanbul's Armenians. Visit the Armenian churches that dot the quarter, explore the fish market, and then stave off the hunger pangs with a classic fish sandwich from a stall in the plaza. After tea or raki at a café, gorge on fresh seafood specialties at one of the many excellent local restaurants.
