Yes, this is another beautiful Hyatt Resort Hotel in an excellent beachfront location with swimming pools. What makes it stand out is the staff. They want you to be happy. They genuinely care about you. The food is very good, as well!!

“good”

Excellent location, perfectly maintained area with pools, palm trees and the famous beach - however rooms are a bit run down, bathrooms lacking quite some renovation and a bit of cleaning. Internet is available but not easy to use (and quite expensive). Very good service - fantastic food. Checkin took quite sometime and we had a glitch with breakfast (we could never get onto the "list" thus needed to convince staff each day that we'd like to eat breakfast - not a big deal but a bit of a nuisance. In the immediate location this is by far the best hotel - accordingly priced. I'd recommend they install an ATM on site. Overall rating is 5 stars for the environment and maybe 3- for the rooms...that'd more make it more like a 4 star'ish place but overall we had great fun there.

“Disappointed Stay,”

Our expectations were much higher after the 5 hour drive from Singapore. I reached Hyatt earlier at 1 pm. Check in was supposed to be at 2 pm. However, they delayed the check in despite me sitting in front waiting for them. I managed to go to my room at 2:30 pm. Next, my room had a connecting door to another room. At 2 am in the morning, the connect room's guest was shouting and playing which disturbed our sleep. Disappointed with the service. Houseflies joined us for every meal. From breakfast to dinner. Only the good beach cheered us up.

“Good Place to Chill Out”

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. We stayed in the seaview King room which is quite big and has a balcony. The view is lovely and overlooks the pool and sea. We were on level 5 which is the top floor so the view is better than if we had been on a lower level. The hotel has direct beach access. There is both Astro and Vision Four TV channels. Mini bar had good selection. safe in room. large enough for laptop. Bed very comfortable. The bathroom is starting to look a little tired. A bit of mould on the tiles and sink had a crack in it. It had a bathtub as well as a shower. we didn't have breakfast in the hotel. There is a KFC and MacDonalds and a number of hawker food places next to the hotel so plenty of food choices. The hotel has a few restaurants. We had the buffet dinner which was quite nice. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

“Looking forward to Returning”

Found the hotel staff most welcoming and friendly. Only there for one night - unfortunately! Resturant meal was very nice and evening in the bar was fun. Quality of the room was good without being exceptional. Checking out proved a little laborious...

“Affordable luxury”

Good, clean, comfortable and well maintained international standard hotel right on the beach. Excellent restaurant and breakfast (even if a little expensive compared to other 5 star hotels in Malaysia). Free parking and good facilities including beach towels (on request at the pool). Good beach and pool for swimming. Need car or taxi to travel into town.

“Let down by poor maintenance”

Whilst visiting Malaysia looking at old haunts we used to go to many years ago we booked the Hyatt at the last minute whilst in Malaysia. The reception and staff were first class. However the hotel is let down by poor maintenance of the bedrooms. The first room had a TV that belonged in a museum and was on its last legs. We changed to a sea view room after one night. This room had great views but the balcony door shut but would not latch so remained 'open' A maintenance man came very quickly and fitted a metal latch which held the door shut but did not really cure the problem. The room had been refurbished but the painting was very poor. A good value hotel let down poor maintenance.
