Great staff, great location, great view of PTT

After messing up the initial booking (forgot to order breakfast and mistakenly requested 2 singles instead of a king), the person who checked us in fixed my mistake and arranged for everthing to be sorted. Best buffet breakfast I have ever seen. Location is close to shopping and food.

Honeymoon first stop

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Lovely hotel to stay for the first night of our honeymoon en-route to Lombok, Gili's then Bali. Good location and excellent view of the towers and in the park is lovely. Other than this there are not as many cultural areas around the hotel but there are good links to these that can be reached by taxi or train. Sky Bar was the highlight of the hotel as well, we had two great nights sipping cocktails in there and the waiters were fabulous! Overall a great city break hotel stay.

Great location near towers, staff not so great

Posted 01-Aug-2014
Pros: Location. View of the towers. High quality fixtures and fittings and well appointed, spacious rooms. Free shuttle between hotel and Suria KLCC.
Cons: Allowing hotel guests access to take decent night photos from the sky bar. Friendliness of check in staff. Information provided to people checking in.
Location: KLCC shopping centre. PETRONAS Twin Towers. KLCC Park.
You can't fault the location of the Traders Hotel, it is walking distance to the Suria KLCC shopping centre and the PETRONAS Twin Towers. The room was spacious and well appointed with a stocked mini bar, bath and nice facilities. Vinnie, who was the (female) staff member during our check in spoke very quickly and like she just did a hundred check ins and was not interested in our experience at all. She was dismissive and not particularly friendly, although not unfriendly; she gave us a brochure but little verbal info. We were extremely disappointed when we went to the sky bar at night time to get some night pictures of the towers (we drank at the bar earlier in the day and took some day time photos) and were told we couldn't walk in front of the booths due to people's privacy. This was surprising to us given the couch booths were all open for everyone to see. Traders promote the awesome view at night time and then book the booths out to people and limit access to hotel guests to actually get decent night photos. The waiter wasn't rude when he told us we couldn't access the area but we were very disappointed, given the hype that the hotel make to guests about the ability to view the towers at night time. We were easily able to leave our bags after check out until 8pm and this request was readily accommodated. Taxis are always out the front and generally it is a high quality hotel. We ate at the café buffet and while it was expensive, it was very nice.

Great hotel in Kuala Lumpur

Great spot overlooking the twin towers - spectacular views from our room. Golf cart service to and from KLCC is very handy and appreciated. Not far to underground train links. Overall great place to stay!

Overall excelent

Posted 31-Jul-2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and bed just perfect.
Cons: Club Lounge. Dress code not monitored also a child free area for those with no children would be great.
Location: KLCC walking distance or use the buggy if you want to save the legs.
Staff in the lobby did not direct me to level 5 for check in. Don't judge your hotel guest who arrive casually dressed. Check in process and everything else was grand. Pillows and beds just perfect after the rest of my travels through asia. I had a club room which comes with the use of the club lounge. Pity the evening 5pm -7pm isn't adults only. Way too many children, babies and noise. Also noticed a young boy on his own wondering around the lounge area like he owned it. Sorry not acceptable. Flip flops yep several folk had them on as well. Also just a suggestion go down stairs for the breakfast. Far better choice. Even managed to score some of that ever so yummy layered cake. Overall I did enjoy the hotel and would recommend it. Skybar was amazing views from there.

Fantastic hotel in a great location

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Its central location to a lot of attractions and shops, as well as the hotel facilities, including the pool and bar.
Cons: Very little.
Location: Walking distance to a very classy shopping mall, the Petronis Towers, a lovely park and covered walkways that lead to trains, Monorails and other shop
We arrived early and our room was still ready for us to check into. The Club Lounge is well worth the extra few dollars for all the extras that are available. The staff were exceptional, even right to the final Concierge who asked us if we had remembered all our documents and if we had left anything in our room.
