“Great, I loved it.”
Great location, very nice room. Very good air-conditionning (does not give you a cold). Fantastic restaurant. Staff are skilled and very nice.
“so handy”
Hotel is right next to KL central station which was perfect for using the LRT system for getting around KL. Service at the hotel was brilliant and very considerate and we felt very pampered for excellent value. Building works around the station and in front of the hotel meant roads were up and pedestrian access around the area was pretty awful but it didn't affect the comfort in the hotel, even around the superb outdoor pool on level 8.Access to the station from the hotel was simple. The KLIA express train from the airport terminates here too which was perfect in the heat and humidity.
“Most conveniently located!!”
I think I would not be exaggerating to say this is probably one of the best located hotels in KL! Along with the Hilton which is basically next door. It is connected to KL Sentral station. This is where the KLIA (aiport) express train stops and starts from so extremely easy to transfer to and from the airport. In addition the KL Sentral is the hub for all the local public transport trains - so very easy to get around central and surrounding KL. I was also taking the train to Singpore so again 5 minutes from my room to the platform! The pool's lovely and on the 8th floor - so great views and breezes! The restaurants have great food but are fairly pricey. Especially when one compares to the really good eateries across the road in KL Sentral station. Typical meal could cost 80-90 Ringgit in the hotel - about 8 - 10 Ringgit (or even less) at the station. Not as posh of course but equally delicious. I actually had breakfast at the station - as it cost barely 4 Ringgit compared to about 60 at the hotel! Overall - great location, rooms and facilties fantastic.
“le meridien”
Excellent location. Facilities all you would expect from a hotel at 4+ stars. Swimming pool the best I have come across in a hotel facility. Expedia price for this hotel is fantastic!
“top class”
Loved the hotel, luxury for everything the only problem was the area. No pavements around hotel but across from the train station which was main station to get links to all trains, monorail and so so cheap. So could get to shops, eating places and places to see. Great swimming pool but just a bit colder than what we expected. Would stay in this hotel again. Did not eat in the hotel as it was a bit pricy for the meals and drinks compaired to outside areas for eating.
“Will stay here again if in KL”
Very happy with this hotel. It is a good hotel located adjacent to central station so you can get the KLIA Express direct from the airport to the station (takes 30 mins for cost 35 MYR per person)then walk to the hotel in 5 mins. Friendly and polite staff who are very helpful. Clean modern and spacious room with widescreen TV. Decent gym with freeweights, olympic bench, hammer strength machines and a large outdoor swimming pool. You can access the city easily by taking a taxi from the station taxi rank which is just outside the hotel.
“Pretty good”
We were 3 to a room. The extra bed was put in after we arrived and it did not fit very comfortably.I feel more could have been done and should have been done in advance to shift the furniture about for better space usage. That aside I have no complaints the staff are all very nice.
“very good hotel”
Good location for train and bus. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the room and the pool area.
“Convenient... but lacks character.”
We stayed at the Meridian prior to catching a flight out to Borneo, and in terms of location to tranport links the hotel cannot be beaten. In addition there are numerous eateries in the train station that afford a cheaper option to the hotel. If you don't mind dicing with the traffic there are some excellent Indian eateries at nearby Brickfields. So what of the hotel? Well the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful throughout and the room was clean, fairly spacious, and well eqipped. There were even speakers/charger for my ipod, and when I was in the shower a set of speakers relayed the TV to me. But if I am honest I found the hotel rather charcterless. I could have been staying in London or Sydney or in any other big international chain hotel. There was nothing Malay about the hotel, and very litle that bespoke of character or individuality. Maybe it was because we were on the top 35th floor but we felt a bit cut off. Fine for a business traveller, but not for a tourist. Laundry fees were also so expensive (but then most hotels do likewise) we did our washing in the bath. I'm probably being harsh on what it is at the end of the day a good hotel, but I wouldn't stay here again, unless I had an early morning flight to catch - not even to hear the rather strange (and much vaunted) hotel soundscape. It isnt every day you hear what sounded like an elephant hunt at 9pm in a hotel lift! Beats the Carpenters any day of the week!
“Good value hotel with high levels of service”
No problems with this hotel. A good price and location as easy to get there from the airport. Transport links good to KL. Within walking distance of a great park (though navigating there through the road network was a challenge!)
