“Great central hotel”
An excellent hotel in a very central location, close to Pavillion for shopping and eating opportunities. A stroll to the Petronas Towers or take the hotel shuttle. Very attentive staff, would highly recommend this hotel.
“Not Impressed”
The hotel is undergoing renovations, the workmen work at nights or late into the night, midnight. There was a real bad smell of tile adhesive that remained in the elevators especially. This was our second time we stayed there, the first was good so we thought it would be ideal ....... so wrong we were. The first 12 hours we had no water in our room. WHen we complained and moved rooms that is when the nightmare got worse. No working safe, workman banging, party central and we had to call security. The food at breakfast is buffet, plenty of it but not particularly hot enough, cold eggs and pancakes is off putting first thing of a morning. The reception desk would not have anything to do with me, as I am not of the right ethnic race and a woman, so they would talk over me and respond to my husband, which made my blood boil. The pool area is not that attractive, the spa is so expensive, yet I did find a jacuzzi the last day there. There information package is not real informative. Overall we are definitely not staying there again, no matter if it is cheap as we didnt have 4 nights of decent sleep and could not wait to leave. We couldnt change hotels as it was pre paid with no refund. Better value in the area, so do more research. Hotel is 19 years old and very tired as little maintenance has been done in that period.
“TinaHH”
Excelent service, lovely rooms. Stay in the exec rooms if you can. The Club is worth it.
“Majid”
It's very good location but the smell very strong ..i don'ts know maybe they have mentanence in that time. but over all very good hotel.. thanks
“Dont overlook this well established otel”
Not the most modern 'kid on the block' but well appointed, clean, comfortable, well located to major up market shopping centres, superb attentive service, very helpful staff, in summary, excellent value for money. Would be difficult to find better deal.
“Not very impressed”
The hotel looks very impressive and is in a good part of town and my staying there was influenced by reviews from this site. The staff were very helpful and courteous however the room was not cleaned before our occupancy and there was no hot water on the morning of checking out. I doubt I will stay here again.
“A positive second visit after a decade or more”
Arrived around midnight, tired and jet weary, and so my first perceptions of the hotel's opulence of mirror and marble, juxtaposed with stained carpet, was dulled by fatigue. This however changed changed the next day after experiencing the staff's amazing hospitality and service and a breakfast that set the taste buds singing. Having chosen to pay that small bit extra for club room access proved to be a boon with easy access to internet in the room and in the club as well as daily snacks and evening appetisers in the club's elegant ambience on the 20th floor. Highly recommended and excellent value for money
“Club Lounge a must”
Brilliant service and comfortable rooms. We upgraded to club rooms and it was the best decision made with free snacks and drinks for 2 hours each evening you can't go wrong. Also within walking distance to major shopping malls.
“Excellent hotel, excellent location would definitely recommend this hotel”
The hotel enjoys the best location one could ask for. From the airport take the train - do not take the express if you have time because the Transit train takes maybe 10 mins more but costs 50 percent less and both trains are comfortable. From Sentral take a taxi - prepaid at the station. No need to eat at the hotel - the prices are high when compared to the cafe just around the corner - 3min walk, and the food there has a good local food choice. Walk to Bukit bintang which is surrounded by three other malls - one of which has heaps of electronic items - cannot remember the name. Traffic is horrendous so you save time staying in this hotel - because you can walk - not more than 10 mins, and you could make 2/3 trips a day. Pavillion mall is a block away and has all the Big brand items. Touristy items are also close with the mono rail station just across the road from the hotel. The staff in the hotel are excellent and make every attempt to assist you at all times. Hats off to them for speaking in English inspite their local language being Malay.
“Not Impressed”
Warm greetings but service was not good. No room safe provider, took more than 3 requests to obtain. Only 1 of 3 power points in the room was working. Lighting poor due to blown light bulbs not replaced. On 2 occassions no towels provided and had to call room service. Room service at night could take up to 1 hour. Transport to airport not book as requested. Staff were friendly and willing to assist but needed reminders to follow through with requests. Location of Hotel was good and close to public transport and main shopping district.
