“hard to beat”
Hard to beat the value of this place. I have been traveling around SE Asia and my stay in many places of 3 to 4 star. Admittedly I got a very good deal when booking so it would normally be a bit more expensive than my usual budget of around $80 but next time i come i would stay here again even despite the extra cost. For a few extra $$$ its well worth it. The service is excellent and the rooms are amazing - hugs and well designed.
“"A bit tired"”
Location very good, Room layout very strange 10" space between end of bed and wardrobe door impossible to open doors and access safe. Bad stains on carpet.
“Only if you have no other options”
The hotel is centrally located and very convenient. Booked a non-smoking room but got a smoking instead. Requested a room change but was told the hotel was sold out. Lighting in the room is lacking. On the last day, the toilet started to leak - was very glad to leave. Breakfast for an extra 40 ringgits per day was well worth it. Items change daily and food quality excellent.
“A bit tired but fantastic customer service”
This hotel was recommended to us by our travel agent due to the surrounding facilities for kids. The hotel is next to a great mall complete with roller coaster however we really wanted to be able to kick up by the pool with cocktails and relax, (me with the cocktails, kids in the pool) Be aware, no drinks at poolside and the pool is really for grown up's. The immediate surround area looks a bit run down but there are places of interest just a taxi ride away. The hotel itself was great, there were a few issues such as the air conditioning not working in our room and we kept getting locked out of our room, however once we reported issues to conceirge they were fixed immediately. Some areas of the hotel were a bit tired, furniture etc. however everywhere was spotlessly clean. The customer serviceat the hotel was fantastic, nothing was to much trouble and everyone was very friendly. The hotel has an adjoining spa which was amazing, I would opt for the coconut body scrub, not the coffee one I opted for (why??) as it stinks !! Overall we enjoyed our stay in the hotel however there are nicer looking areas to stay and the pool was a big let down for our expectations.
“good location but not 4 star service”
The hotel staff seems very indifferent to guests. Guest services had very little information for tourists and out of town guests and when asked questions they answered with as little information as they could. We were upgraded to a Superior club room, which was very roomy and clean but sparsely appointed. The shower door was poorly sealed and every shower resulted in soaking wet floors. If you are new in town, be sure to look for the Taxi coupon counter across from the 7/11. They have fixed price coupons that you can buy for specific destinations, otherwise the taxi drivers do not use their meters. If you can't get a coupon negotiate the price before you get in the cab or else they will demand whatever they want.
“A wonderful vacation round by a terrible accommodation.”
A wonderful vacation ruined by terrible accommodation. Despite the great location of the hotel and the good room service (food). i was moved to another room after mid night due to electricity power down WITH NO APOLOGY or HELP to relocate!! this has caused many loses of personal items (moving in the dark). At the end, the hotel personnel made sure to "keep the worst for last". I had the worst check-out service ever. My check-out experience was charactarized with: - A horrifying bill where i found extra charges. - Unbelievable delays (120 minutes waiting time). - A very Bad attitude from the receptionist. In conclusion, i will NEVER use this hotel again. Regards
“Will return again very soon”
The Berjaya Times is a great hotel which provides a care free and relaxing holiday. The room was great and the servicing of the room excellent. With all the shops and eating places under the same roof one could totally relax and not be stressed by having to taxi to shopping areas if you desired not to. The staff were very curteous and at all timnes tried very hard to satisfy any request. Will be my next holiday again.
“Will miss the service”
Overall this is a great hotel with exceptional service. There is no doubt though, and I'm sure management is aware, that the hotel needs a decent renovation, and if they decide to go with carpets instead of floorboards then at least have a system in place to keep carpets clean. We had to be moved twice due to door lock malfunction and a noisy air conditioner. I did not want to mention this but as we moved twice we did lose a brand new Chanel perfume which is definitely missing after the second move. A bit disappointing. Overall the location and service does make up for the small disappointments. Thank you and keep up the good work.
“Unexpected delight!”
From the moment of our arrival, the curteous helpful, plentiful staff impressed us. An upgrade to a suite added to our delight, the room was spacious, clean and well presented. A small problem with the shower head was fixed within 30 minutes. The beds were comfortable with quality linen. Located next to Time Square shopping mall, with acess to the monorail as well added to the overall satisfaction with our selection of hotel. Security , location, service and rates made our holiday an unexpected delight in the husle bustle that is Kuala Lumpur...
“great value for money”
We,ve just returnede from a 6 day stay at Beraya Times Square Hotel. We were rapt in the location as it is part of a huge shopping centre. The staff were extremely helpful, the breakfast buffet was everything you could wish for and the rooms were both luxurious and very spacious. Can,t fault it and will be staying again next year. What more could you ask for. christine
