“Wonderful pillows”

Within 5 minutes walking distance to the castle and the river and a short 15 minute walk to the central market. A beautiful hotel, great service. You'll need a taxi from the train station or airport , but after this you can walk to most of the key locations in town.

What to pack

Lots of cobble stone streets everywhere. They are beautiful but really hard on your feet if you walk all day.bring really comfortable shoes and a wind breaker as you are near the river.

“5 stars well deserved”

this was an excellent hotel where we stayed for 5 days in November. it was somewhat business orientated but that aside exceptionally pleasant. the breakfast brought seperately is expensive but offers a wide selection which should suit everyone. the hotel is located on the river just outside the old town,which is a 10 minute walk away. it is right next to the castle. the staff all spoke excellent english and were always pleased to help but never overbearing which i have found at some other 5 star hotels

“Customer is always RIGHT.”

The hotel staff and management is not flexible for the expectations of the GUESTs. They are very keen on THEIR rules.

“Magnificent hotel”

This hotel was excellent - but then what else would you expect from a 5* Shareaton. It was set at the foot of the royal palace but still an easy 10minute walk to the main market square. The on-site sports bar was a great hit with my husband and served enough cocktails to keep me happy too.

“Great location, very friendly staff”

This is a hotel I would totally recommend to both Polish and non-polish speaking visitors. The staff was friendly, and very helpful. The rooms very good size, it was nice to sleep in a king size bed. Food was very tasty. Location was perfect. 5 minutes to Wawel, 10 minutes to Rynek, yet a quiet area where you felt safe and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

“Great value, but not in the centre of the old town.”

Could not ask for a cleaner, more spacious hotel, the staff were very professional and if only it were a little closer to the main square it could not be faulted at all. All the sights are within walking distance (The old town is about a 10 to 15 min walk) so it is relatively central, but coming back later at night you feel safer taking the main well lit routes. Krakow is a great city break, and food and drink prices appear very affordable.

Area recommendations

The main market square area with the cloth hall is fantastic all day or night for people watching with outside tables at hundreds of cafes, restaurants and bars, just sitting and watching the world go by. Even with a Champions League fixture in town one evening everything felt safe and everyone well mannered in the main square.

Dining

Try something new, we went to CK Dezerter and for just a few pounds had Pork Knuckle with horseradish sauce ... we stuck to Polish food even though there are many Italian restaurants and really enjoyed trying the local dishes. You can eat very cheaply for under £10 a head and get a great local meal.

“Sheraton Comfort as expected”

Expected a comfortable clean and spacious room and wasn't disappointed. Staff welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful. Location near enough to sites without being noisy. An added bonus- Sheraton was last pick up on 'Crackow tour' bus so were last on and nearly first off on trips to Auschwitz and Wieliczka salt mines. Only minor complaint was security bit like Fort Knox. Key card only allowed you up to own floor so meeting friends 2 floors up from us proved eventful. Good value for money on whole, breakfast a ltitle bit pricey. Would stay at Sheraton Krakow again.

“Magical Krakow”

We lwere amazed and delighted with Krakow. Not too crowded, filled with history and beauty. We want to go back and go back often. A magical city. The Krakow Sheraton was wonderful, in a great location, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Thank you for such a great trip.

Area recommendations

The Old Ctiy was marvelous, Kamieriez was dirty, but worth it. The Ghetto was haunting and a requirement.

“WOnderful weekend break”

The hotel exceeded our expectations. An excellent restaurant offering good cooking and good portions. Right next door was a comfortable bar with a wide range of cocktails. We could have eaten in the hotel every evening without a second thought and happily moved across to the bar for the rest of the evening. The hotel and bar staff were unfailingly polite and helpful and spoke excellent English. As a five star hotel they have a high standard to maintain and I can happily say that they more than met those standards and I would certainly recommend it for travellers to Krakow.

“Excellent hotel”

The hotel is worth its name. Everything was excellent, especially the staff. They were all very helpful. The gym is well equipped, the bar and restaurant really nice and the room spacious and comfortable.
