close to the square, excellent location

Posted 10-Feb-2014
Pros: staff, rooms, location
Cons: price of drinks and food could be cheaper
Location: Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars in the main square in Krakow. Walking distance of only 5 minutes. Also plenty of shops and sightseeing too.
Stayed for 3 nights, cannot fault anything apart from the slightly expensive drinks and food compared to the other places visited in the square. Hotel is very clean, rooms are lovely, staff are friendly and polite with a smile, great location for everything central. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Good location and service

Posted 10-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is conveniently located within about 5 mins of the Wavel or the main square. It is outside the pedestrian area so also easy to get a taxi from the door the airport.

Nice hotel, but not a 5 star

Posted 08-Jan-2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Correct the rating to show it as not being a 5 star property.
Location: Wawel Palace is in walking distance Old Town Krakow Square is in walking distance.
The Radisson Blu Krakow is a nice hotel in a very convenient location in Krakow. It is close to two of the largest touring attractions in the town of Krakow; the large old town square and the Wawel Palace, both within walking distance (though they could be on the longer side if you aren't used to walking or the weather is particularly bad. The hotel is modern and clean, with clean, nice sized rooms (not the smaller rooms that are often found in european hotels). The hotel was also accommodating to us by providing a free crib for our use, since we were travelling with a small child. The hotel while nice, is not a 5 star luxury property compared to other hotels across the globe, resulting in my lower ratings for hotel facilities and room comfort. Additionally, the minibar refrigerator was dirty inside like something had spilled and hadn't been cleaned up. I would stay at this hotel again while in Krakow, particularly if I could get it at good price.

Hotel was good but nothing special

Posted 08-Nov-2013
Pros: Rooms were quiet.
Cons: Bike reservation - either reserve bikes or don't. But have a system. Don't let some customers reserve them and tell others that they can't!
Location: The Planty is gorgeous.
Hotel was good but nothing special. Great location next to the Planty and rooms were clean. A couple of buts ... 1. Room was very hot. I was going out in my thermals and then coming back to the room and having to put the air-con on! 2. They loan bikes out. I asked the day before I wanted one and was told "You don't need to reserve. We've plenty!" I said, "Well could I reserve anyway? I want to make sure I get one!" and again was told, "No need." Then I went to get one and guess what? They were all booked out. After a bit of an argument, they did get me a bike. Also a tip we got from a fellow traveller: we heard breakfast was very expensive so didn't bother. It was easy to get a fantastic breakfast in one of the local milkbars in town - much cheaper and a bit less impersonal than a typical hotel breakfast.
