“Canny stay at the Krakow Novotel Centrum”
Just spent 3 nights at the Novotel Krakow Centrum, I was pleased to find that it was the same standard as other Novotels that I have stayed at in the UK. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpfull, they recommended and booked restaraunts for us. The only downside was the following: breakfast was expensive. The air conditioning in the room did not work, the room was too hot (surprising for December). The tour buses for Auschwitz and the Salt mines picked up from the hotel, both are recommended. Auschwitz was harrowing but everyone should go. It was a 15 minute walk to the market square. The trams picked up right outside the hotel for the market square but we wern't brave enough to try them. The room had excellent views, we overlooked the river with views of the castle and cathedral to our right. The trams and traffic were quite noisy, but that wasn't a big deal
“Will definately be back”
The hotel without exaggeration was brilliant. Every aspect of the service they provided was first class.I would recommend the hotel without hesitation to anyone. It was genuinely faultless
“Excellent Hotel”
Hotel was very nice, especially the Executive Rooms. Location was handy for everything we wanted to do.
“Great European City”
Wonderful city, and very friendly people. Very easy to get around and walk to all the city sights. Food and drink great value. Shopping malls very modern and spacious. Having visited Krakow now in the summer as well as the winter, it is great at any time of year. Only thing not worth doing, was the open top bus tour. Unlike many other cities where this is a great way of seeing the sights first before deciding which one to visit, this bus tour was not worth while, as the city streets are too small for a bus, and the bus tour simply drives round the outside of the city. The best way to do a city tour is on one of the many 'golf cart' tours which can easily ride through the small cobbled streets.
“All you could want at a great price”
Hotel was on a busy road but we new that before booking, there is an underpass and a zebra crossing ouside the hotel but cars don't stop unless you are actually on it, tram stop a few yards away and taxis directly outside the hotel, only a couple of pounds to the main square, around £13.00 to Krakow airport. Hotel was lovely, well equiped Gym and good size warm swimming pool, always empty but attendant on duty. 3 computers in reception and were always available. nice lounge and bar area with very reasonable prices, evening meal in resturant looked a bit expensive and was buffet style but with so many good resturants in Krakow you can eat very well and cheaply all over the city ( and be waited on ) All staff spoke perfect English and couldn't do enough to help! Reception staff were extremely helpful, sending the housekeeper up with extra tea and coffee when we ran out and finding phone numbers for us for long lost friends in Poland. We had an evening flight and left our bags securely at the hotel until we left, also we were not rushed to check out the room. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean, beds were massive and very comfy, lovely bedding and towels, great bathroom with tub and brilliant mirror lighting. Breakfast was really good, loads of variety, hot and cold, yes. it was always the same but with so much to choose from you could stay a week and have something different every day. Hotel was nice and warm and you can control the heating in your room for your comfort.
“Clean, comfortable & efficient.”
Good hotel - clean & comfortable rooms (although beds a bit on the hard side). Lacked a bit of character, but I guess that's to be expected from a standard chain hotel - it was perfectly adequate for our requirements & we have no complaints. We had room only & found that the Breakfast Buffet, although a good spread, was very expensive, so didn't bother after the first morning - found local cafes instead!.
“Highly pleased we chose this hotel”
From very start the hotel was excellent. Room had view over river to Wawel castle. Very comfortable and large. Breakfast catered for all tastes and was excellent. Staff extremely helpful, friendly and readily gave advice on how to get to various locations. 15 minutes walk to old town centre, but buses & trams just outside hotel.
“Very pleased!”
We were very impressed with this hotel. Hotel was lovely, to use the lift you need your hotel key card which was a nice security measure. The sauna and pool were very clean and well kept, however the pool was absolutely freezing!!! Room was very nice and spacious with setee and desk/mini bar and tv., there were 2 or 3 english channels (news) and one of the froegn channels had Premiership Football on all day (pretty much anyway)! The river runs adjacent to the hotel, with the castle being a 5 min walk (very nice) and the main square about 10-15 mins depending on your walking pace. Overall very satisfied and was worth being slightly out of town for the extra luxuries! Enjoy....
“Good location and helpfull staff.”
Very helpfull staff, with a good location to town center, very happy with the clean and comfortable room.
“Seamless stay - Wonderful Time”
From the moment we arrived till the moment we left it was a great stay. Probably one of the better hotels i have stayed in and I've stayed in a lot !!! The pool, gym and sauna were spotless and not over crowded and a very relaxed atmosphere. Will be back !!
