“Lovely Hotel”

Had a great stay at the Hotel Wentzl. Beautiful room, comfortable bed, friendly and welcoming staff and best location in Krakov.

“Brilliant Location”

This hotel was good to v. good.. The reception staff were very polite, kind and very helpful. Excellent breakfast. Rooms very good everything you require.. The cleaning staff only did half a job tidying our room on the second day:disappointing. Second room booked suffered from A/C problems and no working mini bar which were not satisfactorily resolved in the 3 nights we were there. Is it normal for Expedia guests to get 2 of only 3 rooms at the rear of the hotel with only a view of the rear end of several buildings? the 15 rooms at the front have a great view of the square.

“Best hotel in all of Europe”

Best value for money hotel I have stayed at in all Europe. Magic location on the main square with wonderful views. Beautiful, clean rooms. Very helpful and courteous staff. Great breakfast. What more could a weary traveller want???

“Excellent Location”

Nice boutique hotel with warm service & nicely decorated spacious room in the main market square of the old town. Couple of things let down by this hotel - the mattress would do with a new one and breakfast in need of improvement as the bacon & egg was one of the worst I ever tasted!

“Beautiful place”

Really nicely trained and helpful service, clean and well supplied rooms, superb location. Two things I was a bit disappointed with: 1. if you stay in a hotel and have a dinner in a restaurant next to it (also called Wentzl) you can't put the cost of your meal onto your hotel bill. The reason for that (apparently) is that these are 2 separate owners and it's a shame. 2. The breakfast is nice and you can find different varieties of food on a table but very often the staff didn't restock things . You could find a plate with just a couple of cheese slices or an empty plate for the salmon. Otherwise it's an excellent place to stay in.

“Wentzl”

Very convenient location. Very spacious room and bathroom also very clean. Staff were anxious to please and helpful. Hotel could do witth a lounge and a toilet area on ground floor.

Area recommendations
Neighbourhood surrounding the Main Square. There were numerous cafes restaurants, historical buildings and the electric tour cars leave from here.
Must see
Salt mines and electric car tours of Krakow also Wawel Castle and Auschwitz.

“Incredible!”

If you are considering this hotel, you are making the best choice. I can not say enough about how perfect everything was during my stay. I was in room 45 on the top floor over looking the old town square. The top floor rooms have little balconies which are perfect to see the famous trumpeter. The hotel booked all my tours for me in advance and my transfers to and from the airport as well as made wonderful restaurant recommendations and helped me purchase a ticket to a Chopin concert. They even found me a wonderful personal tour guide for my first day in Kracow. All the arrangements were flawless. The recommendations were perfect and the people who work in the hotel are some of the nicest and most conscientious people I have ever met. I actually left a scarf behind in one of the restaurants and a really nice man went to the restaurant and got it for me because it was cold outside. Yes, without a doubt, I will return to Hotel Wentzel - leaving was so sad!

“Fantastic Hotel in the heart of Krakow”

Excellent hotel right on Rynek Glowney square. Wonderful rooms and service! No better hotel that I can imagine!

“An Elegant Gem of a Hotel in the Krakow Centre(17-21March2011)”

The little things which fell short: There is no hotel bar which some nights was irksome. The adjacent coffee shop/bistro closes early. Breakfasts are a disappointment given the rest of quality of hotel. We had handrails missing from our bathroom which made stepping out of shower a bit tricky! In all other respects the hotel exceeds its 4 star rating. Friendly staff;clean;well apoointed rooms;modern yet elegantly furnished throughout. Location is right on Rynek Glowny Square and really is ideal for exploring the city and immediate vicinity/ eating out. The Europjski bar/hotel off the square which we discovered on our last night(of 4) is the prettiest bar for a casual drink/late night drink as its a period piece of the town. The restaurant Szara was the pick of the bunch of all the places we ate at. Trips to Auchwitz,salt mine and walking tours of the town were all arranged thru the hotel. There may be cheaper ones but they were all priced with no extras and delivered what they said in all respects. Cheaper doesnt always mean the greatest value. A slendid city and one which we shall return to one day perhaps in the Spingtime when the Russian winds have stopped blowing.
