“europejski hotel,krakow”
it maybe a bit on the expenceive side, but it is a nice hotel, right near the main train station, and only 6 zloteis, against paying 70 by taxi to and from airport, also very close to old town too,and a shoping centre, good location, also a pick up hotel for excursions,is 5 min away from hotel, wyspianski hotel, and easy to find
“Charming, clean and comfortable hotel...would definately recommend.”
We had an excellent city break at Krakow, we got the train to the centre which cost about £2 each, the hotel was directly across from the train station, across a large square (with a brilliant shopping centre and amazing food court) so we didn't need to get taxis etc. The hotel itself, although was a bit dated in it's decor..it was full of charm, the staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs, they put our passports and personal effects in a sealed bag into their back office safe so we didn't worry. The location of this hotel was excellent, about a five to ten minute walk from the old square, there are lots of restaurants and the whole place had a very safe feel about it. The only negative aspect of the hotel was the crystal chandelier in our room that shook at night if a train went past...however we got used to this and couldn't even hear the trains due to being situated at the back of the hotel (overlooking the 'secret garden'), it didn't affect our sleep...but the pillows did, they were not too comfortable so take your own! I would definately stay at this hotel again and have already recommended it to two friends who are visiting this beautiful city soon.
“Great Place”
The hotel is in a ideal position, across from the train and bus stations, train outside the door and a short walk from the old town. The staff are sooo helpful and the breakfast yuummy
“Chariming Hotel”
Our 2nd time staying at this hotel, location is great as its opposite train station ( and a big shopping centre!) yet only a 5 min walk from the main Sq and all the sights. If you prefer smaller hotels with lots of character in a great location then you can't go wrong with this hotel, good rooms, good breakfast & good value for money.
“Would certainly stay here again.”
This was a lovely hotel, room and food were good, very pleasant staff and helpful. Would stay again for location and friendliness of staff. Need to be better organised for eating out in the evening a bit limited where we found reasonable price meal for 2. Certainly would stay again.
“Great stay in Krakow”
Fab hotel, very clean, this is our 2nd stay at this hotel both occasions have been super, in fact for the second trip I didn;t hesitate to rebook the Europejski which is not like me! The rooms are typical Eastern european, there is a not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, the beds were lovely and clean including the mattresses which yes I did check, they were as new! Everyone tried hard, last time we didn't use the taxi service provided by the hotel but this time we did and it was a huge success, we had a lovely driver who talked us through things at landmarks, very reliable and safe.
“IDEAL LOCATION AND EXCELLENT PRICE”
The hotel is just 2 minutes from the railway station which is 15 mins from the airport by train. lovely old (over 100 yrs) hotel that has been modernised but still retains it's old charm. Xcellent buffet breakfast (ask for the scrambled eggs, great) Lovely beer garden at the rear of the hotel where we sat in the evening with our drinks. There is no lift and 3 floors high, after all day walking the city we just about made it to our room. Staff all speak English and very pleasant.Towels changed as you use them and room cleaned every day. 5 mins takes you to the Old Town Square and another 5 mins takes you to the Castle area .Drink prices in hotel were only slightly more expensive than the bars in the centre.
“very impressed with hotel and city”
Hotel very clean, well maintained friendly helpful staff. Rooms clean and maintained.Help yourself buffet breakfast comprehensive and filling. Hotel perfectly sited 30 yards from north end of historical centre, all pedestrianised. Short walk route leads past barbican, old city walls down to very large square with clock tower, cloth hall and impressive church with hourly trumpeter. South from sqaure still no cars leads to Castle which is free entry so don't pay for a guide as all explained. You only pay for the specific site entries within. We paid for catherdrel and audio guide, climb to bell tower for photos. Exit castle via caves to river to see fire dragon.Walk across bridge on LIPOWA street is Schindlers factory/museaum. DONT pay for Auschwitz trip as entry is free.Hire taxi for day and hire radio guide inside camp for full tour+2nd camp.English tour start 1100 finished 1500. Hired taxi for 6 again for Saltmine.Check start of English tour. Fantastic. Just off jewish 1/4 in Krakow tethered balloon provides views and photos. Best eating still cheap, pay more around square. All very pro English.
“Good Hotel”
good location
“Excellent Hotel”
My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel. It has been renovated to it's original spec and has a grand 'old world' feel. The hotels staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. Also the breakfast was very good and we also had dinner and snacks at the hotel. The traditional Polish meals and soups were delicious. The location is ideal (5-10 mins and you can walk to the main square) and there is also a huge modern shopping centre nearby if you like that kind of thing. We would definately go back and at the price this hotel is fantastic value for money. In addition the hotel has it's own Spa which my wife used and the bar area and 'garden' were relaxed and informal. Too good to miss.
