“Thanksgivng in Krakow”

I loved this hotel, very nicely renovated. All the staff was very helpful. Beautiful breakfast area, right across from castle, very good view, lovely shower, large room. Received upgrade in room withour asking. We spent 3 days two nights wished be could have stayed longer. I would definitely stay there again maybe in spring and fall when warmer.

“Great Hotel and Great Location”

Lovely hotel with loads of Character. Comfortable rooms and great breakfasts served though until 10:30. Located very close to the main square and castle and lots of really good restaurants. Nice small indoor pool in the basement. One minor downside. There is a bar but it is not cosy or inviting but this should not detract from the overall experience.

The old town is amazing - so much culture and magnificent architecture.

“Superb character hotel”

We booked the Copernicus for an long weekend anniversary. Upon arrival (Krakow Shuttle taxi - well worth booking) the staff were extremely friendly and gave us a good welcome. The rooms are lovely - old-fashioned luxury and style all of their own. Sadly we didn't eat dinner in the hotel, preferring to tour Krakow's wonderful city centre, but the menu looked fabulous - probably the most expensive in Krakow but still on a par with UK gastropub prices not going to break the bank. The pool in the cellar is a must! The location is perfect - on a quiet side street but with the castle and cathedral only 100m away (greta view from the rooftop terrace) and the market square a 10 minute stroll through the lovely streets of the Old Town. Definitely going back - you really cannot do Krakow justice in 4 days - and we'll be staying at the Copernicus again.

Area recommendations
The Krakow tourist card is well worth getting as it gives you free transport on trams and buses and also free entry into all attractions linked to the Krakow national museum (we did the Barbican, city walls, St Mary's church, the Town Hall Tower and the underground museum). Also worth visiting is the salt mines - fabulous scenery in the main chambers even if parts of the tunnels felt like a trip on London Underground. Just wandering the Old Town is great - lovely old buildings, remarkably clean and tidy and attractions wherever you look if you enjoy wandering round historical buildings. Excellent restaurants on most streets as well.

“Excelent Hotel in ideal location”

Excellent location, central for the Castle and Old Quarter, but quite at night. Brilliant service, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.

Area recommendations
The castle and old quarter was really nice. There is a walk around the old quarter called the Planty which is a nice stroll, it is the original location of the city walls. A trip to Auschwitz is enlightening, but very emotional.

“A Great Luxury Hotel - Can't wait to return”

Stayed here for seven days, while on vacation in Krakow. This is a first class hotel in all aspects. Initial welcome, from the manager, was probably the best I have received, in all of my travels. Room was spacious, and always clean. The front desk and the restaurant staff were first class through-out the stay. They were able to connect me with a very good tour company, for the tours and the transfers to the airport. Location is very convenient, and surrounded by excellent restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel.. My words do not do it justice.. Krakow is a hidden jem of a city!! So much history, so beautiful and absolutely great food. We plan to return!!

Area recommendations
There are no bad areas to stay in the Old Town.. We liked the Copernicus because is was off Rynek Glowny.. Kazimierz is developing along very nicely, and we saw several nice places to stay there as well

“Great Hotel in Krakow”

This is a very nice hotel. It is steps away from the castle and from the street that takes you to the main part of town. Check out the pool area and the rooftop terrace.

“Highly Recomend”

What a great place. Location is perfect for visiting all the sights in Krakow. The staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very tasty, with a nice selection each morning. The pool was just wonderful, great way to relax after a day of sightseeing or a break in the afternoon. Can't say enough good things about the visit to this hotel.

Area recommendations
stay in the old town if you like to walk to everything.
Getting around
public transportation is good and reliable. Taxi cabs are reasonable. The city is a good walking city.

“Great service”

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Copernicus. We were particularly impressed by the quality of the staff - friendly, helpful and quietly efficient. The hotel is in a wonderful location for exploring the old town. If we return to Krakow, and I hope we will, we will defintely return to this hotel.
