“Great for the Price”

We stayed two nights in November and had a great stay. The room was a good size for Europe and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic as it was near the train/bus station and the city center. The front desk staff answered all our questions and provided us with good restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was good and had a bit of everything. The only downside I could see is the thin walls. We could hear everything going on in the next room. Luckily our neighbors went to bed before us, so it wasn't an issue. However, if you had neighbors that were loud and stayed up late you may not enjoy your stay as much as we did.

“Great location, excellent value for money”

Located 10 minutes walk from main train station, where train runs every 30 mins from airport and takes approx 15 mins, total cost p.p. 10 zloty (just over £2) Hotel is clean and modern and only 10 minutes walk from main square. Staff at reception very helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet adequate. Would definitely recommend this hotel and certainly use it again.

“Very impressed”

Very nice hotel. Pleasant, helpful staff, very clean and modern. About a 10 min walk from the main square. Great value for money. All in all a very good experience and would definately go back

Main square and surrounding area has some great bars & restaurants.
Getting around
Watch out for unauthorised taxi drivers. Inadvertently used one who took us on a 15 minute drive which should have only taken 5 minutes and charged us three times the normal fare !

“Good location”

“Excellent 3 star hotel”

Excellent 3 star hotel - reasonably priced - good location as beside main train station and adjoining shopping centre also 10 min walk to main square. Decent breakfast - bar a bit small - but for price you cant complain

“Excellent value in good location”

Good location, 5 mins from rail station and old town. Rooms modern with cable TV and excellent shower. Staff very helpful. Very good buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Great value stay. Would go back.

“Can't wait to go back”

l loved my stay at the Ascot. The reception was exceptional. I was helped and guided through my entire stay. They arranged for all of my trips outside of Krakow and they were amazing! The hotel itself is spotless clean! and the breakfast in the morning was delicious! Everything that you needed and wanted for breakfast was there! In addition to being a wonderful place to stay it was in walking distance of everything!!! Perfect and I will be returning :)

Area recommendations
The entire city is in walking distance of this hotel, but the market square was a wonderful place to stroll about and shop. Outside of Krakow you must go to all the historical places and they are all worth it! Salt Mines, Zanopane Mountains, Black Madonna (stunning), Auschvitz Concentration Camp, a must see for everyone.
When to go
I went at Christmas and I know that it was cold, but worth it. The Christmas decorations in the churches were beautiful! Its nice to see and enjoy Chirstmas and New Year's in another country. This city was so gorgeous and spiritual at this time of year.

“Fantastic value for money”

Hotel very convenient to train station and main square. Staff excellent, very helpful. Rooms extremely clean, comfortable and warm. Excellent breakfast, great choice. Will definitely use this hotel again when visiting Krakow

Area recommendations
December is fabulous time to visit with the Christmas markets in the square. Lots to see and do in and around the city. Aushwitz and Salt Mines are a must.

“comfortable and convenient hotel with very helpful staff”

for a 3 star hotel, this offered a very comfortable stay for our city break. the rooms were spotlessly clean and well furnished. The bar area was very small -only space for 2 tables, but the bar tenders, like all the rest of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to book trips to the salt mines and Auschwitz at the hotel reception and it was very convenient to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel door. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others
