“Would stay here again!”
Hotel is conveniently located near central train and bus stations. Walking distance to attractions in Old Town and new shopping mall. Grocery store right next door, perfect for buying supplies for picnics for excursions. Nice selection of hot and cold items offered during breakfast buffest. Best part of hotel is the reception staff: cheerful, smiling, eager to help, and English-speaking! Thank you very much for making me feel welcome during my stay!
“Cool theme room”
The room we got was in the Jazz themed area. The room was decorated in black, white, and various colors, then had soft lighting that changed colors if you wanted. It was one of the coolest looks to a room that I have seen. The bed was very comfortable and it was quiet. It was a very easy walk to the castle, royal walk, and to the main market center. There was a little grocery store next door where we could get drinks at a much better price than in the square. Stop there before your outing for the day. I would stay here again without a doubt.
“Good middle of the road hotel”
RT Monopol is very well situated for a short stay in Krakow. It is 5 minutes from Wawel castle in one direction and 5 minutes from the Market Square. The main Station is about 15 minutes walk but due to luggage we took a taxi at 20 PLN. A taxi back at end of stay cost 10 PLN! Our double room was really very small but we were easily able to change to a larger one after our first night. Rooms are compact but very clean. There is a background rumble from the trams from early morning but that probably happens in most places in Krakow. There was a wide range of choices for breakfast including hot and cold food and quality was good. The entrance steps could be improved but inside is fine although carpets on corrdors and stairs are getting worn. Reception staff were all very efficient, pleasant and helpful. Don't miss the Klimaty Poludnia restaurant in a nearby courtyard. meals here made our stay.
“Good location, friendly staff, great buffet breakfast, would definitely go back”
Hotel is centrally located to city attractions and restaurants. Staff were helpful and friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was great, only floor was had booked a king size bed and got room with 2 twin beds. Trams passing by are noticeable but not too distracting.
“won't go back!”
Hotel seems to be renovated but not quite. If you have a room overlooking at the street, it is impossible to sleep because of the running tram noise whole night. No airconditioning. Breakfast was not good either.
“Good value”
Stopped here at the end of September this year. A perfect position for exploring Krakow overlooking the Planty. Ten minute walk from station, a couple of minutes from the big square with lots of eating/drinking nearby and a small supermarket just up the street. There was a little tram noise but after busy days and late drinking it didn't affect us-just ask for a rear room. Buffet breakfasts were great with a wide range of foods-loved the scrambled eggs and smoked sausage.Staff were helpful and spoke good English and are ready to sort out transport etc. Rooms are well maintained and comfortable, we felt it was good value. Didn't try the restaurant but others seemed to enjoy it.Get the minibus around the corner to the salt mine for 5zl return!!
“Nothing special”
The rooms should be bigger and cleaner. Does the job.
“RT Monopol”
The rooms have high ceilings which were nice, however, we stayed in a double room and there was very little room for movemt in the room with respect to floor space. The breakfast was an attempt to provide continental, however the boiled eggs were old, and very bad, I think they recycle the ones boiled a couple of days earlier. Perhaps to save on cost, they could simply offer guests boiled aggs on request. The restaurant/dining room was tastefully decorated. The reception and bar staff were polite. We were also allowed to store our baggage in a locked room once we had booked out until later in the day for collection. There were no internet or printing facilities, though the staff were kind enough to allow us to use their facities for important documents. The hotel has a good connection for taxi to the airport. The taxi driver was exgtremely friendly and helpful. My estimation of the hotel rose with their good taxi service.
“An excellent hotel, in a very good location”
Close to all of the attractions. Breakfast was excellent; in terms of both staff service and quality of food. Personnel in all departments were very polite and helpful. Parking was very convenient.
“Budget Hotel”
When I travelled the Bar and dining room was being refurbished but as there are plenty of eating places close by this was not a problem. Room was very small but comfortable and clean. Staff at the hotel were very friendly. I had no complaints about this hotel or service recieved. If anything it was slightly better than I expected considering the cost
