“Great Location, good staff, Amazing city!!”
This hotel sits near a large shopping center and train station and just outside of the old city which makes it excellent for a visitor going by foot, but there is car parking too. The room I had was small but adequate and it was clean. The staff was friendly and spoke english well. I would recommend this hotel!
“A verey good value for the money. Decore is basic and not fancy but price is great. I would go back.”
This was a very good value for the money. The rooms were large by European standards. The hotel was clean. There is off street secure parking. We had two bedrooms and a kitchen with stove, refrigerator and sink. The hotel is a one block walk to Old Town. We would definitely return. The hotel is a little hard to find since it is not on a street but down an alley behind St. Florianne's Church. There is a sign but it is easy to miss. The alley is gated and you have to buzz the front desk to get in. Once in you have secure parking.
“Good Central Hotel With Great Staff”
Hotel is very near bus and train stations and centre of town - 5 mins walk. Staff at hotel were fantastic and couldn't do enough for us - checking train times, supplying extra pillows and tea and coffee supplies. We liked the fact that you request a room clean at reception as it means you can have a lie in without being disturbed. Only downside was that the plumbing was a bit noisy, tinkling and tapping in the night but didn't disturb us much. Would agree with another reviewer that a microwave would have been useful in the kitchenette area but we managed with the hotplates and all cutlery, crockery and pots and pans were there. No plug for the kitchenette sink so couldn't wash up but who wants to on holiday and I'm sure the staff would have found one if we'd have asked. Would certainly recommend and would use again if we ever visit Krakow again.
“Best of its kind for a budget traveller”
This is an ideally situated place to get your head down for the night but the 'aparthotel' concept is not for everyone. It's a spotless place with ground floor rooms serviced on request. No food included, other than tea and coffee in the room, but the location was so good I didnt mind. The tram stop is 2 minutes away and the station 5 minutes with the Old Town under 10 minutes. The staff all spoke good English and were very helpful, reception is manned 24 hours a day and there is an entryphone after 22.00. The Old Town is mostly pedestrianised and it would take a week at least to see everything. Go round the local market for cheap food/clothes/drink and there are loads of good bars and cafes throughout Krakov. Auschwitz is an essential day trip but book a tour through the hotel as public transport there and back isn't easy. Do buy a tram/bus pass from the machine at the tram stops - I got a 7 day one for £8 - and get about a bit if you have time. Like all cities there are 'end of the line' areas to avoid after dark but the centre and by the hotel are quite safe. Would definitely visit again.
“Good value Accomodation Option”
Great location close to rail / bus and close to old town. It is an Appartment style so don't expect a hotel but this gives lots of options and flexibility. Very helpful reception staff
“Great location.”
Couldn`t fault the location or the front desk staff who are extremely helpfull. The rooms, I think, depend on pot luck as some seem to be bigger than others. The room we ended up in was the only other available after we had moved from our original one because of noise from the reception but was quite cramped with no room at the side of the beds. Quite nice having fridge & kettle but would do better to replace the hot-plate with a microwave! Noise could be an issue if you have loud neighbours, we fetched reception staff at 6.30 a.m. as ours were having a party with all their friends! They were much better after that but we were still aware of them!
“This was absolutelt perfect for a three night stay in a beautiful city”
A wonderful stay
“Great find, convenient location”
This hotel is very central, but on a side street, so it is very quiet. It is only a block or so from the bus/train station, a major shopping mall and the city's popular city centre. Krakow is fairly compact, so all the sites you want to see are within 30 minutes walk of the hotel. There is a small equipped kitchenette in each room, so you can prepare simple meals or food in your room. While I didn't cook any meals, it was nice to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room. Breakfast is included at the restaurant next door. It's a typical Polish spread- bread, cheese, cold cuts, sausages, cereal. One of the best features is free wi-fi in the rooms. Staff are very friendly, and since I speak very limited Polish, I was grateful that they spoke excellent English. They are familiar with all the sites, and provided us with bus schedules and directions for trips we wanted to take.
“Small, but clean, clean, friendly, and professional”
I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel. Service desk was staffed 24 hours by English-speaking and friendly staff. Room contained small kitchenette with servings of tea and coffee. Everything was clean and in great condition. Bathroom had no hairdryer, but receptionist was happy to loan one out. I will gladly stay there again.
“Hotel Maly Krakow”
The hotel is a great place to stay and not far from the train station or the main centre. It is only 10 minutes walk to the main market square. The hotel is basic but it is very comfortable and very clean. The only minor issue would be the breakfast at a local bistro 50 yards from the hotel. Though it was adequate, there wasn't a great deal of choice.
