“Staff all speak English and are willing to help out those who cannot speak Polish.”
The city of Cracow and surrounding areas are rich with history, charm and tragedy. Despite its attempt to modernize and come up to 21st century standards by way of public amenities, "the way it was" is constantly present with its domed towers and ancient buildings. There are abundant restaurants offering creative meals at reasonable prices.
“excellent. will go back”
Excellent business hotel, new modern, clean, good service. Next to big shopping mall with excellent cheap food court. Can't go wrong.
“Perfect!”
We could not fault this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, the location is amazing and the price are reasonable. The staff were friendly and staying here capped off a great weekend in a brilliant city.
“Modern, comfortable hotel”
We stayed here as we wanted to be close to the action, but not on top of it. The hotel's position was perfect, just a minutes walk from the station and 10 minutes from the main square. The receptionists were very friendly, our room was immaculate and the only disappointing feature was that our view was the building site next door, so had to keep the curtains drawn so the builders couldn't see into our room. We needed cheering up cos Fulham lost to Wisla Krakow and treated ourselves to a lovely meal in the hotel's restaurant. The food was lovely and the service again was very friendly, despite the fact that the kitchen was due to close as it was quite late. The cost of the meal - 4 starters and main courses, 6 beers came to GBP35, an absolute bargain. We had breakfast in the same restaurant and there was lots of choice, including an omelette station. Taxis are very cheap and the hotel will arrange one for you as long as you give 5 minutes notice. We loved Krakow, despite the football result. P.S. A visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau is a must, a very moving experience.
“made my stay in wonderful Krakow wonderful”
excellent all the way...very friendly and helpful staff...i felt a bit emotional when I left...close to the centre..only 5 min. walk. Fantastic breakfast. Clean and well- maintained rooms. One night I had a problem with noise in the corridor..called reception...,problem fixed immediately. i have been in many hotels around the world...and this one is definitely up there.
“Perfect place to stay in Krakow”
Just back from a long weekend in Krakow, staying with husband and teenage daughter. It was a last minute booking, and choosing the Andels Hotel was just lucky, rather than the result of painstaking research. But what amazing luck it was. The hotel must have the very best location in Krakow - right opposite the railway station, and a stone's throw away from the main square. Almost all the main sights are within very easy walking distance of the hotel. The hotel itself was fabulous. All three of us are seasoned travellers, but this was way beyond our expectations. Modern, stylish decor, and all the facilities you would hope for in top hotel (DVD player in rooms, spa, top restauarant etc). Service was impecable and friendly (without being annoyingly too friendly!). Breakfast (included in the room rate) was one of the best we've ever had in any hotel, and served in a beautifully bright and sunny room with great views. Nice to watch the world go by. I honestly am struggling to find a single fault with this hotel, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Poland is one of the most inexpensive countries to stay in Europe, and this hotel offers incredible value for money. I've paid more for single night in a London hotel than we paid for two rooms for three nights in the Andels Hotel. If you get the chance, definitely go.
“Decent price, place to visit Cracow”
Easy location right across from the train station. Close walking distance to old town and tram to the Jewish Quarter. Included breakfast was good and service very good. Friendly staff and they speak English. Fitness center could use some weights. No free internet in the room, but you can get free wi-fi if you hang out in the lobby. Internet charge is excessive. Clean rooms. Easy to get to train station and on to the airport. I would definately stay here over the hotels in the city center because you dont have to hassel with going far once you arrive. They also help with tours to The Auschwitz Museum and other attractions. Cracow is definately worth a trip and the hotel is a good buy.
“Best location”
Tha Andels Hotel must surely be in the best location in Krakow. In close proximity to the train station and bus station and a 5 minute walk from the Market Square in the Old City. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast. I would unreservedly recommend this hotel.
“Good location, good hotel”
Andel's is an excellent choice, just across from the station (trains to/from airport) but no train noise. Old town is just over the road (or rather under it since there is an underpass). My room faced the square and was quiet. Possibly rooms facing the road might have some external sound. Some rooms face an inner courtyard and I wouldn't want one of those. Modern but pleasant. Breakfast was decent, if not the best I have ever had. Desk staff were efficient and spoke good English. Room was very good, with an excellent bathroom. I would certainly choose it again.
“Fantastic Hotel, Beautiful City”
Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the beautiful city of Krakow. It is ideally located on the edge of the old town within easy walking distance of most of the major attractions. The rooms were extremely comfortable and clean and decorated with a higher than normal amount of taste. Floor to ceiling windows gave a really lovely view of the square, the bathroom was superb and all the staff were polite and attentive. The food was truly excellent and overall this was probably the best value for money hotel I have ever stayed in. It probably also helps that Krakow leaves such a good overall impression with its old fashioned vista and values that I would find it hard to disapprove of anything. If you are thinking of staying at Andels - do not hesitate!!
