Staff were amazing really looked after us all as a family. Tuk tuk available to book. Not near anything at all in the middle of nowhere with no shops. Need to pay 200baht via tuk tuk then 100baht to cross the water in day 200 after 7pm to get to krabi market's town which was amazing. Pool on site is lovely, few chairs need replacing. Breakfast is fantastic and good choices. Greeting to resort was the best ive ever had. Would revisit but only for a couple of days as its so remote.

This place is absolutely fabulous!! It’s away from the stress of everyday life. It’s quite and very peaceful. I loved the open concept of the rooms. It’s probably not for everyone. You need to enjoy being open to new things. Mr Big is there to help you out with whatever you need. I’ll be going back.

The Front Beach Villa faces to the ocean is very nice scene and relax room. No roof bathroom is exciting and brings us close to nature. Very peaceful and very good for couple or those who love restful. GM and staff are friendly. Bicycle for guest riding is good. Good food and good vine. Just one thing that the hotel should be developed is the late check-out system for guest who requires to stay a little longer in room according to the flight time. They should have the system for late check-out that will be the most convenient for guest, even the additional fee will be applied.

It is a beautiful property in a magical location. You are on your own very much and it is a quiet and relaxing. It is a nature resort with wildlife on your doorstep. The pool is fantastic. Excellent service. The only drawback is the massage spa service. The masseuse was untrained, didn’t know what she was doing at all. This was unfortunate.

Great resort in the middle of no where. The food was fantastic, the staff fantastic and the accommodations nice. Loved the pool and the way the people made us feel at home. The only place to go on bicycles was the local village with little shopping. The only way to get there was boat and tuk tuk which was a unique experience and very primitive but we lived it. It would be a great place for a wedding or a family getaway if you are up to it.

Nice location needs better food service
Overall the hotel es a Petty nice . Nice rooms and views the only exception is the food service. Not a great variety and very expensive for my taste and since there is nothing around the hotel your only option is to eat there which will cost you 450 baht per meal per dish. Extremely expensive and not at all so tastefully.

Just don’t go!
Overall the hotel itself is nice. The view from the pool is fantastic! Beautiful sunsets. Room size was ok. So now the not so good points, I hate writing bad reviews but this “eco friendly hotel “ has nothing eco about it. The biggest problem we found was the food, overpriced food and drinks. “Happy hour “ is from 2 till 4, why I don’t understand! The food is bland and overpriced. Breakfast is a joke! £11 for breakfast and you can even eat it or if there anything left. The bread is dry and stale no choice just a small choice of fruit ( three things ) croissants ( mini ) and stale. Overall rubbish! This is not! And I mean not! A 4 star hotel. I completely understand this is Thailand but I’d would definitely give it a two star. The manager takes no responsibility for the food they serve the staff are the ones I feel sorry for. Finally it was time to leave thankfully three days was enough we found out a couple got food poisoning The night before so we happy we ever leaving. I am a bit confused why people have given this 5/5! I guess they have never stayed in a 4 star hotel and had Thai food. Go if you wish but make Sure you have lots of money!

We arrived by boat in the day and was greeted with a cold drink. This is definitely not 4 star which is a shame as it has so much potential. The accommodation is basic, has 3 different tooms I.e hall / kitchen ? / bedroom. The bathroom is outside which is okay, but I would say you can hear everything..... our neighbours quite clearly had food poisoning and we heard everything and was kept up all night. Air con is in the bedroom only You have to go through 3 doors and 2 steps to go to the bathroom which is a nuisance particularly at night time. It is such a shame that the food and beer prices are sooo expensive, Therefore everyone eats and goes to bed usually before 21.30pm. So there is no atmosphere whatsoever. Trips and massages are extortionate I.e massage 1500 baht in Ao Nang this is 250. We explained to them it was our honeymoon and despite many of the ocean front huts bring free, there was no gesture at all. We were disappointed to hear other visitors were upgraded though. The infinity pool is amazing.... peace and quiet..... Staff are good but customer service does need to be improved. We booked in for 12 nights and left after 6. We had to the hit financially which was a shame as we had saved for this as our honeymoon. We would not return. There are better places to visit x This place is missing a trick but doesn’t seem to care.

The place was great overall but to get there was quite something since there are no major cars or trucks on the island So all transportation is done on motorcycles or mini type vehicles that will hold maybe 3 people and the roads are like just wide sidewalks that are rough in spots. The other thing is that it’s kinda far from shops and restaurants

The resort is on an island a short boat ride away from the main island of Krabi so it's perfect for those that want to get away from the crowds. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Mr. Big and Chacha never failed to check on us to make sure we were having a good time. The sun sets on this side of the island too so expect to have some amazing views!

The Resort is beautiful, however it is very isolated from the Island and it is quite a hassle to get to and from Krabi town. The staff were nice, but not very helpful in solving problems, we reserved some tours where they mentioned staff would be waiting for us in Krabi town, but we were giving no guidance, vouchers or names, and when we arrived no one was waiting fo rus. fortunately we were able to find a local agency to help us with that. All in all the resort is very nice, but if you are planning on doing many of the activities and sightseeing of the surrounding area, another hotel with an easier access might be preferable. Also the food was a bit expensive and not very good, for the amount and the price.

Me & my partner stayed at this hotel when we where in Krabi, the manager told us that the peir we needed to go to was Thara peir, so, we caught a boat and went to Thara peir where the supposed hotel staff was waiting, yet there where no staff. So we missed the free shuttle into town, where the actual peir was, that is not marked on the map. The manager we where speaking to on the phone was really rude telling me I was wrong, and his staff where there. ANOTHER 600 baht later on us, we arrive at the correct peir. All is good from this point. The bed was like you where laying on the floor as well. The staff also mucked up taking my payment and didn’t print the receipt, instead, tried me to pay twice even though we showed them that we had already paid.. however, despite all this, the staff where really nice, especially when my partner came down with gastro whitest we where there, very helping and supportive and the rooms where very nice and very secluded. Truely was an island hideaway!

Secluded hotel perfect for some quiet
Islanda is a quiet hotel that's far from the madding crowd. It's got a beach, though not exactly swimmable during low tide (if at all). It's still great for relaxing and having some quiet time, and perfect for getting those picturesque shots in. Hotel upgraded us to a beachfront room for no extra charge - a nice touch! There's wifi throughout the resort and new release DVDs available for you to watch in your room. Great place!

With a little TLC could be lovely
We stayed recently for 7 nights over new year. There are lots of positives: the location is peaceful and pretty and in very touristy Thailand this was a real highlight. The rooms are nicely done and rabbits hopping around and kittens just born meant the kids were in paradise. But there is a lot of attention needed by management. The menu is dull and there is little else around so you're stuck with the same daily menus which are really overpriced. A hot dog for instance is quite literally chopped pieces of a small sausage for 10 usd. The salads are only made up of some leaves and a small amount of tinned tuna in the case of the tuna salad, the Thai meals also very basic and not very flavoursome. Then there's the activities etc, bikes great, no kids seats or bikes, and all rusted and breaks not working, island hopping tour, over 100 usd with a long tail driver who didn't speak a word of English.. not a problem normally but very cheeky of the Hotel to call that a guided tour! Food comes at different points so you can't eat as a family, mocktails not included in happy hour.. why? .. overall lots of small annoying things that could easily be fixed to make this place really lovely! But the manager/owner needs to take care!

This is a great option for anyone who wants access to Krabi without living in the thick of it. The town is a just a simple tuk tuk and boat ride away. The resort itself feels miles away from the action which makes for a very pleasant and restful place to get away from it all.

Great little hotel.
The hotel is great. If you're looking for somewhere close to the airport though please bare in mind there is a boat ride across to the island so you need to allow at least half an hour to 45 mins to get back to the mainland. The hotelarranged to pick us up from the ferry port and then on from there via Tuk Tuk to the hotel (its a nice journey, you'll see lots of local farming life too). The rooms are fabulous, looking out across the water. The food was great too.

A remote oasis
Hotel is remote location wise but if you want to escape mainstream it is ideal. You also get a taste of thai culture as the resort located on an island requiring a long boat and tuk tuk to get there. If you wish to explore Krabi from this hotel it will take approx 45 mins travel time to get into Krabi town. Staff were fabulous and went out of their way to assist you. Restaurant food was good but expensive. In terms of feedback resort could provide meal packages as part of their accommodation as it takes time to travel to other dining locations.

Nice location for only a few days stay...
Good location for a quiet few days from the craziness of Krabi city. Given the limited choices of things to do in and around the resort, I would not stay there more than three nights. We were totally unprepared for the rain when we arrived during the evening and getting to the resort via minivan + a long-tail boat + subsequent 5-mile tuk-tuk ride the Hideaway. Staff were generous with their smiles, did not speak English and the menu was limited and food was not that good.

Truly exotic and memorable
Wow, a truly exotic island hideaway getaway. The bungalows are nice and comfortable with wifi being pretty good closer to the front of the property. The beds are mostly comfortable. Even though it is mainly a place for couples our family of four (5, 11 yo) really enjoyed our time there. Living in Thailand we are not accustomed to the tourist prices on food, so our food budget went over the top pretty quickly, each dish is about 3-4 times what we normally pay. The breakfast buffet is limited but good quality with choices for a few Asian dishes and western choices- cereal, eggs, toast. Lunch menu is not vast but quality is good. Dinner has more choices and is quite tasty. The beach area is quite small but enough for our four. Waves and cleanliness not what we were hoping for but still lots of fun. We took the sea kayaks out some and had good fun free of charge. There's a nice play area with a volleyball area, exercise equipment. There are daily excursions which we did not take. The view is tremendous and the sunsets are breathtaking. The disappearing edge pool is perfectly placed and is clean with the salt system. We could watch our girls play in the ocean as we relaxed poolside. We would love to return someday, even as a couple.

Stuck
If you like being stuck in one place this is the hotel for you. It is on an island secluded away from Krabi Town and the only way to get to Krabi is to take a Tuk Tuk through a Muslim village to a river and switch to a boat which takes you across to Krabi. It appeared to me that the village locals did not appreciate seeing Westerners being brought through their village daily. Every morning we would take the 20 min Tuk Tuk ride to the river and experience angry stares from the locals. If this wasn't enough, on our way back one night we had a local tell us he had a tuk tuk to give us a ride and tried to usher us into a small alleyway then suddenly saying he had drugs if we wanted to buy them. It was bad enough that we had to be back before 6pm but the fact that it was just not safe made the stay almost unbearable. Do yourself a favor and find another hotel.

Select this hotel if you are going for meditation . Quiet ,away from civilisation , no beach ( the so called beach looks only during the high tide , otherwise its sandy , muddy swamp . ) , no vegetarian food , difficult to reach the hotel , if you want to go out for shopping , eating , restaurant travel for around 1 hour, Open to sky washrooms , safety may be an issue as anyone can scale into your hotel room easily.

Beach Side Pool Plus Bonus Surprise , No Cars !
While in Bangkok dealing with medical issues at Thai International Med Center , I finished a week early THEN . . . Islanda popped up on my travel site with a pic of a beach side pool . I jumped on the offer & the pool is wonderful But there was a great bonus surprise , NO cars ! After too much time in Bangkok’s famous claustrophobic traffic , Islanda’s traffic jam is sweet . . . it is when 2 tuk-tuks meet on the road & they slow down more . Islanda could become the escape place for people needing a week away from traffic jams . Unfortunately way more people have traffic gridlock burn out than Islanda has rooms so it could happen that travelers will end up needing to book months in advance if the city people find out about Islanda . Important FYI : Getting there is Best by ordering Islanda's airport shuttle directly from hotel as they have the safest pier & best boat which transits from the Krabi Marina Lagoon to their own pier on Koh Klang . If one must come in by the public pier on the N W side , be prepared for makeshift pier made of scraps and slippery surfaces . Probably better to NOT have luggage or for elderly people unless they've been doing it for years . Do wear shoes with maximum traction .

no beach. bad location. it's on an island. you NEED boat and tuktuk (400baht) plus 1h to reach nearest city, krabi. and then from here you start your trip. it's on a Muslim fisherman island. absolutely nothing touristic to do or see on it unless you are fan of Muslim fishing techniques. Resort is sweet and crew is fine. if you don't plan to visit anything in krabi and you don't mind expensive drink and food, this is your place. check logistics, not easy to move in or out this resort..

Stayed at the beach front villa. Really neat location of hotel. Little difficult to get there, I would recommend contacting the hotel before travelling there. ( we got ripped off on the way there- should be 50 baht for long tail boat and about 200 baht for ride to the hotel.. Not 1000 baht....)
