Good location & service but poor facilities

Posted 28-Feb-2015
Hotel is near to beach and within walking distance to eateries. Service is polite and friendly. It is a small resort and room assigned was below expectation. The room door was directly facing the ventilating hood of hotel restaurant and u can feel the hot air whenever you open the room door during the cooking time. In addition room floor is dirty and the fridge was spoilt and I have to ask it to be removed from the room when it emit a bad smell. Overall, it fall short of expectation.

pleasant and friendly staff

Posted 25-Feb-2015
Pros: Ambience, cleanliness, staff
Cons: provide halal food
check in was very smooth and We feel that staff showing us the way to our room is very personalised. Staff were very smiley and friendly throughout our stay. They greeted us each time they see us with a big bright smile. Room is brilliant and housekeeping does their cleaning promptly everyday. The bed was really comfortable. I like how the hotel encourage to go green by giving choices to their guest to re use their towels or have a new towel change. the hotel is very centrally located and just opposite was seen a row of shops that offer massage, non halal food, 24hr family mart, and the activities booking and car/bike rental. They give good bargains for activities offered. We rented a bike for 200bhat per day and make our way round the streets. Ten minutes walk down the street will be a whole stretch of shops, restaurants( good array of halal food) ,massage spas, sourvenirs shops, bars etc. you just need to get a tuk2 down if you are too lazy to walk. As it is at near Aonang beach and popular with tourist, shops tend to mark up prices. So you may want to bargain and try your luck with getting better price. The night market at Krabi town is on Thurs to Sunday night so try to not miss that as things are a lot more cheaper at the market. We definitely enjoyed our honeymoon at Centara Anda Dhevi. Applaud the staff for such good service the only cons are that the hotel did not offer halal food. Aside from that we are absolutely please with our stay.

Excellent

Posted 21-Feb-2015
Pros: - Friendly staffs - Comfortable stay - Only few steps to convenient stores and food stalls
Cons: Better water heating system and better hair dryer.
Everything is good! We enjoyed our stays. All staffs are really friendly which makes you feel appreciated. We contacted the hotel by email to book the shutter from airport to hotel. Reasonable price and service. Makes you feel welcomed once you reach the airport. Room is clean and new. Two thing to complain is the water heater system and hair dryer. The shower gets too cold or too hot in sudden. The hair dryer provided is so weak I can hardly blow my hair dry haha. Location is fine. It's not located at the main busy road, but you can rent motor at the opposite of the hotel. Convenient stores, food stalls and massage shops are just steps away. Overall we are really happy to have chosen this as our stay. We would still make the same choice if we come back to the lovely Krabi.

ごはんが美味しいリラックスできるホテル

Posted 10-Jan-2015
Pros: レストランとプール、スタッフ。
Cons: Wi-Fi

Mildew in Rooms :(

Posted 24-Dec-2014
Pros: Beautiful pool area
Cons: Upkeep of the rooms. It is unacceptable to have mold and mildewy rooms with the prices you are paying!
Centara Anda Dhevi was a splurge for us. I had seen the property last year when i was in Ao Nang and really wanted to stay there because it was so beautiful. While the property itself is very pretty and the pool is lovely, the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Upon check in we were taken to our room. The minute the door was opened we were greeted with a VERY strong mold and mildew smell. This is very unhealthy to breathe and completely unacceptable for a "high end" hotel such as Centara. We immediately called down stairs and were shown 2 more rooms. These rooms also smelled strongly of mold and mildew. At this point I tried to cancel our reservation, but it was non refundable. The manager was moderately helpful and they "deep cleaned" our room. Deep cleaning means they spray air freshener to cover up the smell. The air freshener dissipates quickly and the mold/mildew smell returns. While this property is visually beautiful, I would not recommend staying here due to the poor upkeep of the rooms. The manager tried to say that it is because we are in a tropical area and there is evaporation from the pool but this is simply not the case. We stayed at Pakasai resort down the road and had no issue with mold/mildew. I have been coming to Thailand for 14 years and in my experience there is a direct correlation between the upkeep of rooms and the presence of mold and mildew. Management at Centara needs to find a better way to maintain their rooms if they expect to charge a premium.

Comfort

Wonderful place to stay. Great clean spacious room. Pool flooring is however not in good condition. Grooves are deep and may get cuts by the tile edge.
