“modern clean lovely hotel”
i loves this hotel as it was just a bus ride away from Kowloon main streets, but far enough away to feel off the beaten track. real authentic Kowloon at its best in this end of town. staff friendly and helpful. strange use of mirrors in rooms!! lovely stay
“Great hotel, not so great location”
Stayed here for 5 nights end of March. Good service and very helpful with enquiries. Has a shuttle service to harbour and airport via other hotels in chain, which helps with transport costs. Recommend up grading to i-club as get breakfast and internet and own area check in. Only poor thing was the location as its not near the waterfront but hotel shuttle helps.Has a nice bar area on top floor but views shown on website are deceptive.
“regal oriental hotel”
Great location close to Kowloon City, room i stayed in needs some money spent on it as is getting a little shabby, bath taps leaking temp repair made with some sealer, bedside control for aircon and clock radio broken, Staff very friendly and willing to help. Id stay there again as location was perfect for us & staff were first class.
“Our thoughts”
The room was basic but amble, tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a mini bar. The room was a bit tired looking but clean, the bed was comfy and the staff really nice. The breakfast was a little over priced.
“Disappointing”
Our main complaint with the hotel was that although we had a non-smoking room the smell of smoke from the rooms next door were quite strong. The smell in the bathroom was so strong if we didn't know better we would have thought someone was smoking in there. The smell appeared to be coming from the ventilation system. We complained the in the morning and were told if we had the same problem that night they would see about moving us. Unfortunately as we got back quite late, it was not convenient to move rooms. We were also very unhappy with the sound proofing. The walls were so thin we could hear people talking and the TV next door. The smoke and the noise ruined the stay for us. It was very disappointing as the room itself was beautifully appointed and the beds comfortable. The location of the hotel was not conveniently located to the tourist areas and was not near the underground either. We were very surprised they did not offer a free shuttle to the main shopping areas or to the underground. This was disappointing as we had previously stayed at a hotel in Mongkok which offered a free shuttle bus to the main Mongkok shopping area even though it was close to the underground and about 20 min walk to the shopping area.
“Will never go back.”
I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The photos of the building, its rooms and its Restaurant are completely inaccurate. The hotel is covered from head to toe with scaffolding and a green mesh; this makes it impossible to see any views of the impressive Hong Kong skyline. One of the biggest selling points of this hotel for me was the Sky lounge; however all you can see from the window is walking planks and a safety mesh. The rooms are old, dirty, cramped, and very different from any pictures on this website. The bathroom, well I don't know where to start. If you have a particular liking for mould, cracked tiles and old bath suites then this is the spot. I would never recommend this hotel and in all honesty it ruined my experience of Hong Kong.
“Not Happy”
We asked for a cot but didn't get one. I asked for extra pillows and got one tiny one. One night room service refused to bring a hot chocolate and another night it took the 1and a half hours to bring a gin and tonic. The sky bar did the smallest cocktails in the worl and the basement restraunt that housed the international buffet left a lot to be desired. Saying that the 3rd floor cafe was great with very attentive staff. The concierge also was extremely helpful.
