We stayed at De Ubud with 6 adults and 2 children (11 months and 3 years) in the 3 bedroom villa for 4 nights. Travelling with such a large group it was hard to find somewhere to stay that could accomodate all of us so we had to do a lot of research before hand. I was a bit worried about where we had booked, but when we arrived we were very happy.
The staff were all so lovely, friendly and helpful and our villa was huge with 3 massive bedrooms and a nice living/dining area. We had ample space for everybody without being in each others way. The location is excellent - its a 2 minute walk down to the monkey forest, or you can walk the other way and there are plenty of restaurants and shops. If you want to go anywhere else the hotel drivers will take you straight away and pick you up when needed. We would often get dropped off somewhere and then walk back.
The restaurant, which is a part of the hotel, was also lovely and we ate there a few times. The food there was probably better than most of the places that we had been to. Huge variety and we also received breakfast in a villa served from there every morning. The spa is also fantastic - a bit more expensive than other places, but lovely staff, great treatments and tea served in your villa afterwards.
We had a wonderful stay and were looked after very well. We will definitely return on our next trip to Bali.
We stayed for 8 nights, had a wonderful time. 10 min walk to Ubud Markets which I did on my own during the day and felt very safe. Walking distance to Monkey Forest, lovely restaurants and very cheap food. Very friendly staff and buffet breakfast, excellent.
Hi guys we have booked to come back in December, see you again soon.
This hotel is perfect if not for its wifi. The hotel itself is clean, spacious, and located in downtown Ubud where I had plenty of shops and restaurants to go to without a long walk. The ambience was just excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly, and shuttle service was available to drive us to places that was far away from the hotel. All was nice but the wifi was terrible.... I could connect to wifi in the restaurant but it was weak. Pretty much can't use the internet in my own room. Nevertheless I had a fantastic stay.
Enjoyed downhill bike riding day, the monkey forest, local market and found a great restaurant on monkey forest road right opposite lane way from Citrus Tree Hotel. The local internet café was very affordable and handy. Plenty of money changing places and the best tip I can give is replace your SIM card with a local SIM. Save huge fees from your Telco being overseas and supports the local Telco and businesses selling the cards. The weather was fantastic being cool of a morning, 25 degrees during the day and cool of an evening during September. Ubud is great if you just need to relax and read some books.
I can recommend this hotel, it looked nice and clean and pool area was nice but when we got to the hotel our room wasn't awailable and they put as in family room which was very dark and humid. Didn't love it, but wasn't too bad either:)
the room quality of the room was quite disappointing, but was clean, just the sheet had some stain, internet didn't work in the room. Watter runned really slow. There was a allnight barking dog in the next house. Stuff was very friendly, helpfull and nice. I really loved the garden,
Outside was a bustling street where you could shop or enjoy just strolling but inside the hotel the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The view from our balcony overlooked the pool surrounded by tropical plants. What really set the KajaNe's apart was the service and attention to detail. Every employee I saw greeted me with a smile and was willing to fix any issue I had or answer any question. A clean room and fresh bottles of water awaited us whenever we returned to our room. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable in organizing rides anywhere we desired to go. We arranged viewing traditional dancing, elephant riding, white water rafting, a temple visit and visits to local jewelry makers, wood carvers, and stone carvers. The Hotel restaurant was delicious made from organic local produce. I would not hesitate to recommend the KajaNe.
