The location and bamboo huts themselves are amazing, but what amazed me first about this hotel was the amazing customer service. They have a great staff, but I would like to especially thank Khim for making our stay outstanding. There was a driver awaiting our arrival at the port the morning we came in, we were fortunate and did not have to wait until the afternoon to check in, and when we saw the room we immediately decided to extend our stay and booked a few additional nights. The waves lapped at our bedroom window and we had the most amazing snorkeling on the island right outside our private sunning deck. It was heaven. In addition the food at the restaurant was good and they even provided room service.
You can enjoy swimming with tropical fish at the private beach. You can also enjoy watching corals there. I saw a shark when I visited this beach last year but I couldn't see it this time though I saw a stingray instead.
The front desk can arrange a boat taxi to get to Nanyuan. Taxi will pick you up at the hotel to ride the taxi boat. It was very nice.
I would like to mention only one thing that the bed in Eco room was tiny for 2 people.
We had a wonderful vacation at Charm Churee. I will come back very soon again.
It took us about over half an hour by taxi from the airport. The staff at the reception was quite quick to check in and the bell boy helped to the room. The service was like nay other four star hotels. The room was well kept even though this is not a brand new hotel. Over all experience was quite satisfaction.
We had reservations at another hotel and upon check in, found it unacceptable. We immediately got online and found Haad Tien resort at a very reasonable price and booked. Within minutes of our arrival, they had our room ready and were very helpful. Our reservation included breakfast, which was a very good buffet set in a beautiful outdoor covered verandah. Our villa had a private balcony and a beautiful, large bathroom. The best part of the stay was the staff. They were warm and helpful, and always helped us with a genuine smile. The beds were a little hard for our Western standards, but the hotel quickly provided thick pillow tops for us upon request, which made the beds very comfortable. The landscaping is lush and tropical, and the entire resort is peaceful and quiet. The beach is sandy, but did have a lot of broken coral on it, making walking barefoot kind of painful. But there are decent coral reefs and large rocks fringing the bay just in front of the resort where you can snorkel. We saw lots of sea life, including all kinds of tropical fish, crocodile needle-fish, barracuda, trigger fish, and baby black-tip reef sharks. The road to the resort can be scary at first, but the drivers of the taxis and the free resort shuttles know the road well. The resort is not in town, and you will need to take a taxi into town. The cost is about 300-400 Baht each way, but it was well worth it to be on such a remote and quiet side of the island.
Great hotel. Chose to stay close to ferry dock and Crystal Dive. I asked to have a pool view - and my room was beautiful with a spectacular view and balcony. I love the clothes drying rack out on the porch. They offer laundry service and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was wonderful. This hotel is right on the outskirts of Mae Haad village and is very quiet - but then a nice little walk over to Sairee beach & restaurants. The pool is very clean, and the grounds are very nice. I think this hotel was well worth the price and in a wonderful part of Koh Tao
i love the view there and how i could relax cos u cant really go nowhere except pay for extra cost for taxi to other beaches. but u could enjoy wonderful moment near the sea with small path to swim, lots of fishes but no corals and reels they are all dead and the water was quite full of junk.. sadly i like that place very much but they need to maintenance the beach there better. You can rent snorkel for 150 with flooding shirt ... the food was fantastic but too expensive. You can actually have no other choice but eat there cos u cant reach other restaurant within like half an hour by walking... Nothing much to do but just to enjoy staying at the hotel thats all. it worth staying for the view but too expensive for small bungalow and a 14inch TV with no cable and mini refrigerator and a bed.
Overall nice resort. Free pickup / drop off to the pier was helpful. Beach Club rooms new, quite big and very clean. Pools quite small and very shallow bay. Bigger resort feel which isn't for everyone.
"Great Location and good rooms but without elevator"
We stayed at Tarna hotel for two nights, stuff welcomed us very nice.
we stayed at the Grand Deluxe Room and were very pleased about its comfort.
The room was big and very clean. Two beds (extremely comfort) and nice bathroom.
Since, the location of this hotel in not exactly on Sairee famous beach, but
little up the hill, we had window with fantastic view into the jungle and sea both!
I really liked the location of it, you will find relaxation here and within 15 minutes walking you'll get to Sairee
beach with its plenty options.
Be aware, that the rooms are not one floor located. there are few floors there and NO elevator is installed. (Big disadvantage for those of you are limited). at that point of my life i didn't really care of it :)
However, the stuff were keen to help with any luggage that you might need to elevate your rooms.
Ko Tao, or Turtle Island, is a peaceful destination attracting scuba diving enthusiasts to its sandy shores off southern Thailand's Gulf Coast. Rugged dirt roads span the island and lead to Shark Bay, a favorite snorkeling spot, and South Sairee Beach, where weekly trips take divers to Sail Rock. Dive schools with attached resorts, bungalows, and villas are among Ko Tao's accommodation options.
