It was my second time staying at W Koh Samui since my honeymoon 10 years back - this time, with my daughter as well. Staffs were super fantastic and supportive and overall quality of facilities was also great. I would absolutely stay again when I visit Koh Samui in near future. Highly recommended for family vacation, honeymoon or short getaway with your friends.

Exceptional service
We had a wonderful time although some days were rainy. Service was exceptional, the room was big and indulging, the gym was great, and we were happy that the hotel's chef accommodated our food requirements as vegans.

Fantastic resort with a great beach
Stayed at this hotel for few nights as a family of 4 in 2 rooms and really enjoyed it. Each room has its own pool which is wonderful, the beach is very exclusive and you can watch the sunset with a cocktail in hand. Breakfast was superb and staff very friendly. Only issue we found was the limited choices of restaurant since they are a bit short staffed, and the only restaurant available for the evening was rather pricey, but on the flip side it “forced” us to explore restaurants outside the resort

W Koh Samui February 2020, 2 nights VILLA: LOVED IT! So modern and spacious with lots of personality. Pops of color and fun details. Comfortable, clean, great living space and bathroom; great toiletries and linens; clean, big pool and green space. LOCATION: golf buggy avail for movement around property. 25 min from USM, 10min to Fisherman’s Village (300-400baht). Free shuttle available from hotel. PROPERTY: beautifully maintained property. Great views, design, modern. Beach set up comfortable but steep dip into ocean. Great common areas, but spent most of our time in the Villa. FOOD: Fresh, inviting, delicious breakfast buffet with excellent service (a special thank you to Rainy!) Many Western and Asian options. STAFF: incredible team!! Every department was very personable and warm. (Thank you Mr BIG!) BONUS: - sweet spots; complimentary ice cream and beverage - Complimentary cell phone for information, contacting hotel, local/international calls - ECO FRIENDLY! Glass bottles and paper straws, well done! RETURN/RECOMMEND? Absolutely.

Spectacular experience, the service is the best and fast, the staff is very respectfully and friendly, the food is delicious, the installations, spa, bars, beach, restaurants are all breath taking, the rooms are very spacious with gorgeous views, great design with outdoor pool, plenty of closet space.

Wanted a beachfront private residence to relax with spa facilities and W Koh Samui was fabulous! Excellent food ! Cater to dietary requirements really well . Namu a highlight Massages were great. I took my own SUP board but it would be great if the hotel had their own quality boards to use seeing it's such a great location to stand up paddle . They only had kayaks .

PRETTY BUT FLAWED
I was excited to return to the W Retreat Koh Samui after a 2 year absence. I had missed the great service, food, accommodation and facilities but left rather disappointed. The staff remain so incredibly friendly and kind however our room was looking in need of renovation. Mould in bathroom, timber that is showing signs of wear and tear, shredded bathroom towels, etc and on my last day was treated to 2 enormous cockroaches enjoying the luxurious bath tub. No bath for me that day and in need of a good scrubbing (in the shower) before checking out. Putting these matters aside, my main qualm was with the sea. During our last visit, the sea available to guests was pristine. Not so, this time. Instead, so heavily polluted that we were unable to enjoy this important aspect of a beach holiday. Luckily we had a pool in our room, otherwise the trip would have been even more disappointing. Then the next issue is management's decision to charge admission for anyone to enter the hotel to take pictures, drink, eat and tour the facilities. So much for privacy?? As a 5 star resort with prices to match, I had expected more privacy, instead we were bombarded with, what seemed an endless stream of transient tourists (mainly Chinese) and their entourages taking selfies continuously. At check-out, a staff member asked if I was sad to leave the hotel...I said, I can't wait to get back home!!

If you remember from your first stay, access to WOOBAR was open to the public free of charge. We listened to our guests’ feedback and opened admission to WOOBAR for a fee specifically to improve the privacy of our in-house guests. We do not allow tours of our facilities however we provide the same top notch service to our guests regardless of their backgrounds and Nationalities. Regarding our beachfront, our sea area remains very pristine though Koh Samui’s shores are subject to seasonal variations in color and temperature. I regret we were unable to exceed your expectations. It is my hope we will have another chance to do it better and show you a true W experience. hotel condition isn't that new. nothing much to do in the hotel. the spa is very expensive. recommend to do the spa outside of the hotel, we had great massage experience in the city of samui, central festival. the price is much much lower than the one in the hotel.

The worst quality of sand
We are completely shocked by the quality of sand - very coarse and prickly on the feet. How can a resort area be called resort with such quality of sand!! Made the entire beach experience non-existent and unappealing!

Wonderfully world class!
We stayed for 2 nights in a beach front villa and from the moment we arrived to the time we left, all we can say is Wow! The place is dripping in style. Yes you do pay quite a bit to stay there but it's worth it in my opinion and would definetly return although we'd probably stay in the hillside villas for the views which are incredible. Do yourself a favour and stay at the W, you only live once!

If you would like to be treated like vip, top notch services? You must stay at the W hotel. A small misunderstanding at the Namu restaurant, ended up making me (A very experienced business traveller) sure W retreat IS the best hotel in Samui or even Asia Special applause to Anya for her professional attitude towards me and my wife which totally changed my feelings about the hotel and the incident Thank you for a marvellous time

Great holiday for the trendy.
It was great holiday ever, Breakfast was perfect and really like the fresh juices and milks in the fridge. Unique music directing and DJ is the unique attraction as usual.

Simply amazing!
This was the hotel I chose among thousands of hotels in Thailand to celebrate my 50th anniversary. I did not regret for a second. The hotel management made everything possible to make our stay memorable. Starting from the friendliness of the whole staff and ending with the pleasant surprise of the birthday cake ( delicious) and the very personal hand written card for my birthday and everybody congratulating me for my birthday. Unbelievable memories.Nothing to say about the villa, the beach, the food. Everything was more than 100% devotion from the hotel to make everyone happy. Exclusive SPA.....If I ever come back to Samui, that is one of the hotels that I will definitely return to. Simply amazing!

W for Wonderful
Booked for just the one night here and wish we could have stayed longer! Our stay here was perfect. The staff are friendly and couldn't do enough for us and the facilities are excellent. We were upgraded on check in and were very impressed with the room and private pool. The design has been well thought through and the little touches are wonderful - including the 'sweet spot' fridges located around the resort which contain complimentary ice creams and soft drinks! Not too crowded either, we were able to get a bed at the beach and a booth at the bar in the evening (with the backdrop of the 'W' against the evening sky!) The swimming pool is beautiful, it's very surreal swimming with such a lovely view! All in all, the night's stay was a relatively expensive one but definitely worth the money.
